I have played this kind of game called Knight Online is one of the games what i call addicting. I was quite into it and never wanted to stop. Same time i have family and i cant just spend all day playing games you know. It took me 2 years to realize that..
Now i know family comes allways first!
What about you? Are you or have you been addicting to something?

I was addicted to Ragnarok when I was in college. Then I realized, I'm missing out on something big, wasted my time doing such nonsense. So I stopped it and concentrated on my studies first. Now that I'm finished and have graduated I can play everything I want now :) upto date, I'm addicted to Plants vs. Zombies hahaha

trowa0830,
Do you mind if I just call you Trowa? Hello and welcome to mylot, I hope you have fun here, its a great site. I too distracted myself with nonsense before I realized I need to study, and then I studied, took the test, and am now able to presume with whatever I may want to do. It really takes a burden off you!

In the past I was addicted to the game called the Sims. I like it very much. I have the Sims series games. I ever spent a night playing it. I felt tired next day as you can imagine. This is why today I seldom start to play a game. As I am not sure whether I can control myself well:)
I love China

Youless,
Hello and How Are You? I am also addicted to playing the sims or was. Now I too hesitate to play the game as I am afraid I will get addicted again and lose myself in the game, abandoning responsibilities.

Oh I have found myself addicted to the computer many times over. Now I am not so much addicted to the computer, I think with the introduction of earning online, I find that my online time is now more for earning extra money. Now I have less time to spend online, so I can't indulge in the games I used to. I used to play Adventure Quest, but even so it's been a long time since I've played it with any fervor.

Yes, but when making money becomes fun, playing games can be put on the back burner, lol. I know that for me, I love to play games but also making money is important to me so my husband and I can afford the games, mylotting is our "want" money, or atleast that's what I hope it to be.

Yeah, I was able to experience the addictive games and I cannot stop myself unless I won the game.
It feels great when you achieved your goal to overcome the challenge.
You are right, family first in any thing must be. because the attention you can give to your family can never be replaced by your attention to games.
Games has no feelings, it does not need emotional attention unlike family which needs all your attention .
whatever you have given to your family will make them in the future.
Games will never end, as technology goes by, it comes wider
Better yet, involve your games with them for interactions at least you never missed quality time with them at all..

Yes, I have bee addicted to both World of Warcraft and Runescape which for 4 years, took a hell of a chunk of my life, especially since I used to spend every day, every hour on those games. I no regret all the time I wasted on playing games, especially the money that I needed to pay for the costs of WoW. Now that i'm off the addiction, I have more time to do what I really wanted to do, such as go out with my friends, sport activities, socialise with my family more and so on.

I do get addicted with games but will always put a line to how long I can play with games. I always prioritize my family therefore I have no problem controlling myself with online games or any games that I can play with my computer.

There are only two games that I felt I'm addicted on in my entire life. And thats long time ago when I was still at college. Its Diablo and Red Alert. I played the two sequels of Diablo as well as the two sequels of Red Alert. Damn the graphics are very high tech during those times. I still don't have my own PC that time and had to spent 5 to 8 hours playing it over a computer shop. I knew I had wasted a lot of money during those addition period but no regrets as I have enjoy each moment of it.

Hi! I'm not addicted to any game now, but when I was at school I was very addicted to counter-strike and Hitman. I also loved to play Wolfenstein. These were the best games for me and they still are, but now I haven't got so much time to play it.

I am a college student. I seldom play computer games ! But around me in my school there are many playing games! They play games all day except meal time and sleep time. some of them failed their studies .I think they are addicted to the games.
As a student, learning , I think ,is the most important thing, but why are they so addicted to games and leave studies alone ?

i want to put my comment too :) as of now, i am addicted to get online, surfing in the internet, facebook-ing, what else? games? yeah, rock band :) guitar hero, halo 3, gears of war and soon imma try to play oblivion. i do these things when i am so bored. when i was in college, i was addicted to play DOTA all stars (warcraft) with my friends. after class, we go straight to the internet cafe (computer shop), play this game 5 vs. 5, and spend almost 5 hours just to play. i could just imagine how much money i wasted before. but thank God, i finished schooling. for me, it's just a past time to spend time with your friends. you know, instead of getting addicted to something "bad", i just thought that it was not bad to get addicted to some games like these. atleast you still know your priorities.
