so, yes, here's the question.. would u ever come to Hungary? do you know where it is? :D ok, seriously, many people around the world don't know where is Hungary...:( too bad... cuz it's a very beautiful country!
and in 2010 Pecs (Pécs) will be the Cultural Capital of Europe with Essen (Germany) and Istambul (Turkey)together! Pecs is the city where is study, so i'm quite lucky to be in 2010 in the Cultural Capital of Europe!
if you had to choose, wich one would you choose from this 3: Pécs? Essen? or Istambul??? Would u come to see Hungary or would you go to Germany or Turkey?
please response, cuz i want to know more, what reputation my country have around the world!

I went to Hungary in 1990. I loved visiting Budapest and went to some places along the river. I had a day out to a town of the Lake. I found the prices really cheap. I loved seeing the old buildings. I visited Turkey in 2003 and 2004. I went to beautiful Istanbul, the white terraces and the beach. I have been to Germany a few times, in 1992, 1994, 1997 and 1999. If I had a chance to choose where I would go out of Pecs, Essen or Istanbul I would visit Pecs. I am sure it would be scenic and interesting. Hungary is a beautiful country. I like visiting Eastern Europe very much indeed.

Hello Johnny. I certainly know Hungary. I have not been there yet, but I have seen ver beautiful photos of the country. I have been to Germany, the city of Essen too. But I have not been to Hungary and Turkey. Cultural Capital of Europe ! That's wonderful ! It would be very nice to be there in Pecs in 2010.
I will see if I can come too. Thank you very much.

well if you have the chance, come to visit Pécs in 2010! :) i hope it will be better than the other cities in the past years, f.e. the buildings were there incomplete, i really hope that Pécs will be the best Capital of Europe ever!:)

I went to Budapest 10 years ago, and I think that it is a beautiful city. I enjoyed walking around in the streets and I took many pictures. I hope I will be able to visit other parts of Hungary in the future. I used to have a penfriend from Szeged, and he invited me there, but unforfuneately we lost touch and I never managed to visit him.
My husband hasn't been to Budapest, so when we visit Hungary together we are probably going to spend some time there and some in other parts of Hungary. I don't know Pecs. I have heard the name before, but I think that is all. It could be interesting to visit Pecs in 2010 while it is the Cultural capital of Europe, but it will take a while to save up the money for the trip, so we might go there later than 2010.

Pécs, well.. there is the first university of Hungary since 1367... and there is the "Early Christian Necropolis" wich is a UNESCO World Heritage! so many cultural things to see and not only in Budapest or Pécs...:)

In 10th grade i was in Budapest on a schooltrip for a week, and it is certainly a place i wouldnt mind visit again in the future when i have the time and money for it, but then i would like to see the Pusta with the horseshows, ive heard they should be amazing ;)

well, thanks for the response, and i hope you'll earn that amount of money you can come to Hungary with! The Pusta (Puszta) is one of the worldwide known places of Hungary! it's amazing, you can't see the end of the land! it's really that flat! and don't forget the Hortobágy with the "Bridge with nine holes" (Kilenclukú híd)! it's beautiful too! anyway, thanks for the response and have a nice day!
