For all the writers out there do you get writers block sometimes or alot. If so what do you do about it? How do you get your writing groove back. I have school work to do and my mind is blank and I have a deadline of December 28th. I have to write 3 stories/articles and I'm suffering from writers block.

I haven`t tried writing uoto now though i love to write so the question of writers block does not arise. Writing a book is not a joke and entails a lot of research and one should have plenty of time for it. Many great writers or even novelists have taken years to write and it definitely needs a lot of patience. Many have also gone through writers block but they have got over it soon enough to resume writing and then complete the book.Hope you get your ideas quickly and meet your deadline fast. Good luck.

Writing is one of my biggest passions and it is probably the best means through which I can express myself. We all get writers block and I think that the best way to try and get passed it is to take a break and relax for a little bit. Maybe put on some music or something that can help your brain to be creative. Music generally helps my thoughts to flow a little bit better but everyone's different. I guess we all just have to find what works for ourselves.

Thanks I have received some good advice such as reading a good book, drinking plenty of water, relaxing with some music and just don't think about the fact that you are experiencing writers block. I'm going to try all of the above. I hope this helps you. Thank you for responding.

Hi lelin...I think your case is just normal. Even here on mylot we could also experience that though most of the time we would just be writing from what our experience and everything in pronto. How much more in your situation. The best thing you could do is to rest yourself for a day or two before thinking again what to write to break our blocked mind...take a relax.. Mobhomier...

No I do not get writers block. This is because I am not on a writing schedule. If I was on a writing schedule and pushed myself to write, I would probably get writers block. I am not doing anything to help myself with writers block except keep a journal. This helps me get ideas out and not stop writing totally. It makes it so I don't become too stagnant. Also I like keeping a journal because it gives me ideas that perhaps later I will write about for story ideas.

I usually will just write out as much as I can on a topic no matter what it says. Or if it even makes any sense. Then I am usually able to come out of the block. The less you think about the block the better you will feel about your writing.

I know exactly how you feel. I have gotten writer's block too. I usually use music to become inspired. Sometimes just relaxing can help too.

Hi, I'm a freelance writer and has written an article to overcome writers block. If you find time, just visit my blog, which you can see in my profile. One way to overcome writers block is to do activities that you enjoy like playing, listening to soothing music, etc.
