Why are you here in mylot?

I'm just wondering..I think theirs so many kind of people here in mylot.
Some join simply because they want to get referrals.
Some join because they think they can earn.
Some join because they want to share their thoughts.
Some join because of what ever reason.
...
I just want to ask, How about you? Why did you join?

I'm guilty of this one. I joined because I want to promote and get referrals for my PTC.
But two to three days after I like like mylot cause I can see a potential in earning.
after a week I realize that I'm happy. Not because I get many referrals, not because I earn, But because I'm sharing my thoughts and talk/ chat with a complete strangers.
I'm happy to listen and be part of one post.
I'm happy that I can know that person and can relate to that person even though I never meet that person.
I'm happy that theirs also some part of this world who listen/ read my post.

But what annoyed me know is.
Some people just join your post then put their url links.
Some people just react or put comment to your post but not reading the whole post. They just read the title and makes some reaction. As if they know the whole story.
...
Some even make no sense at all. as long as they can post.
...
Some don't even know the difference of between asking and proclaiming.
Some don't respect cultural difference. What common to others is taboo in their own place.
...
I don't know, Maybe I'm just a sensitive guy..But I hate when theirs a gate crasher in my post..
...
Also others love to look for a wrong spelling or a wrong grammar in your post and just simply ignore what that post is all about.

My perspective has changed over the years. I joined mylot a few years back, and didn't know what this site was about. What I knew back then was that there's this some sort like chat system, and we could all interact. Something for me to replace my chatting days in other programs. And after some time, friends here stay, some go and it seems like there's a special interaction, much better than any chat program. Because there seems to be certain fans sticking it out and that's just awesome, in my opinion. So, the rest is history. And the earnings is quite a cool pocket change in my opinion. From all over the years, I've learned a lot definitely, met some cool real people online, formed some friendships and new ones too. The experience is priceless..so that's why I'm still here in mylot. I might get discouraged at times, but I will come back stronger each time.

Thanks so much, bulastika. It has definitely changed our lives one way or another and to find new-found friends, great joy in everything is just so amazingly cool. I wish I can be in the lot too all the time, but sometimes other commitments come into place. Hope to cross path again in future, aite..

I wish I can stay longer like you.
I don't know if I can find work or open another business if I still have time to open mylot.
But for now mylot is what makes me going day by day.
I don't know what a 10 dollar can do or if its can make a difference in my life.
But I know mylot chances my life.

I have to be honest; the main reason I joined myLot was to earn some extra cash while doing what I normally do on the internet. When I first joined, I was as clueless as any other newcomer, but as time went by, I found that myLot was a good place to hang around when I have some free time. The myLot community was an awesome bunch overall (let's just forget about those rare trolls that I had the privilege to meet during my time here) and I really had fun responding to and starting discussions, just as if I were discussing issues among friends. After a while, I thought the earnings were quite slow-going, but the fun kept me on myLot till now. Earnings have become something secondary to me now.
About those people putting url links in your post, responding without reading your whole post etc., my advice is try not to let these people spoil your time on myLot. I have come across numerous incidents where my post has been mocked, interfered with, undervalued etc. but I am still here because I don't take those incidents to heart at all. It's just like in the working world; don't let one or two unreasonable customers spoil your day. Happy myLotting!

By all means invest.
Stock market is good for a long run.
Its a long term investment.
But be sure to know when to sell and when to buy.
That the most important thing.
Know when to sell first before you buy.

I am here because I really need money. Christmas is coming and I want to give each of my loved ones a gift but I just don't have extra money for that. I've been trying a lot of ways here in the internet to earn more money as soon as possible. And myLot is just one of those good things I've found in the net that I think is not a scam and could really help me a lot. Not just with earning money, really though that's my main goal, but also to be able to share your opinions on a certain topic and learn from other's point of view also. And that's my reasons.

Well I joined mylot mostly for the money but don't min making some friends. Since I am a stay at home mom of one and since I dont work I need to make some money that I can put away into a savings account just in case I have something major pop in the future I will be prepared and I can take care of it instead of asking for some money from my family which I hate doing so.

Actually don't think about grammar if you want to speak english..
Grammar is only good if you write.
If you want to have a conversation in english don't pressure your self to have a perfect grammar. as long as you two understand each other that's is enough.

I love My Lot for the interaction and sharing views. Admittedly, earning a little bit helps as well. I dont think one would work without the other.
I agree with you that I have seen a lot of linking promoting, and I thought this wasnt allowed. I guess thatys why there are doing it through PMs.
I hope that not too many people are critical of spellking or grammar. That is very unfair if English is your second language.
The people doing the critising probably do not have any other second language, so who are they to say.

Yeah.. but a ten dollar a month is not a lot of money. How I wish we can earn more than that. But right now I earn more than a cents..because I made friends with a complete strangers and I learn from them many things.

No, you are not overreacting. Some people do post some nonsense. But that is o.k. because I have found that there are more people who really have something to say. As for me I joined mylot to improve my writing and blogging skills. The thing is I have learned to love reading the discussions because it allows me to learn soemthing new everyday. In my experience I have found most people on mylot to be helful and eager to ask or answer on any number of topics. It really is a great community. Even if people have joined for the money, they should not just post garbage. Believe me they will make more money if they post in depth and meaningful comments.

Yeah your right.
Its not how many post you make but how long is your thread.
Before I make five post a day. And I earn a little
One day I just post on thread. But that thread has lots comments that it took me whole day just to say thank you to all who give comments to my post.
And its suprise me because next day I earned more than twice that I regularly earn.
Also if you post a nonesense thread you attract nothing but a like of yourself. At the end of the day only one or two will give comments. Even if you make ten post that day if you have one or two comments in each thread you only have maximum of twenty comments. Else if you make one good thread but received forty or more comments you earn more.

I joined mainly for two reasons: One, to earn extra pocket money, and two, to be able to have conversations with other people who can respond with at least slight intelligence. I am a member of another site [with an avatar, though] and was happy with it for a while... Until all the immature members started crashing good conversations with dumb responses like "LOL UR FUNNY" or "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" . It was frustrating. At least many people here contribute to the conversation in a mature manner. So far I'm satisfied with MyLot, though I too have noticed the rare "gate crashers", as you put it. But overall I like this site.

At the end of the day. You changes your views of about everything.
Yeah I hate gate crasher to..(Actually I don't know the right term to describe them).

i enjoy in mylot, i can ask question(what to do), got many friends, everybody have aim to do somethings or Target. Even all we(mylot) want to earn $$$MONEY$$$ just somebody have to put correct way---- I mean show right way! So giver positive Idea that will carry in right way.

I joined mylot because you speak with people..I practice my english..And i earn money..I want to earn money for my parents..Its my wish they to be happy..But im here most for the speaking with people,from different nationalities and its just bringing me joy..I learn new languages..Like i said my english is 10 times more better than normal..Because i practice it in every word i type in the discussions..And when i don`t know a word i search it and i remember it by more and more practice..Happy day :)

I have a some tips if you want to improved your english.
Read dictionary.
Watch english movies
Read loud.
..
I do that often to help me improve my english and also proper pronouncation and spelling.
Always do some spelling excercise.
Because if you don't know the spelling, you don't know how to pronounce it.

Yeah.. I do want to earn throught mylot. If only I can have 1000 active referral then its a good money maker. But right now I'm just enjoying myself doing posting, reading other post, checking my threads, and answering comments. I enjoy doing that.

Yeah.. its nice that we can share our dreams and thought to others. And know their dreams and hopes. I'm enjoying mylot. From the time I wake up until midnight mylot is open..lolz
Its just spontaneous topic and never been boring.
Two weeks ago we experience blackout. Whole day I do nothing but wait for electricity. And realise how mylot means to me.

I have just joined mylot and I do see this a lot since I have joined. I joined because I was told I could earn money here. Of course, I have realized that I have to participate more often on mylot otherwise I will not earn. So far, I am enjoying the whole experience of mylot too, but I like the idea of earning money here more.

Hi, bulastika, glad to know you! I'm here to improve my poor English. As a non-english-speaker, I know it's very hard to improve my English. So I have always been searching for a site where I can communicate with so many English-speaking friends. Luckily, I found Mylot. After two-day use, I find I like Mylot. I can not only improve my English, but can make some money! That's perfect !
