Do you let your pets sleep by your side?

i love pets if i have the money to feed them right and have them have a very clean place so that i can always have them sleep on my bed i don't mind. as long i can afford to buy a good shampoo that can kill any fleas on their fur so that i will not be worried having them sleep on my bed like dogs. but i can't afford to buy those expensive shampoos and so i don't like having beds sleep beside my bed. and also i think i really don't like the smell of breath of dogs. though the puppy i don't mind. and also the cats are a big no no as i think they are not good for the health if you always smell their fur.

My cats sleep on the bed pretty often. But we don't let the goldfish sleep with us. :-)

you really like pets, don't you. i do too but i don't like cats sleeping on my bed though. they just stay outside the door. guarding my home from any possible intruder. they do a good job warning me from any imminent danger. i get easily awakened by the smallest meow of my cat and i just usually run out to the the door to check if things are alright.

I don't sleep with my fish either. I don't think the cats and dog would like it.

Hi!
Our cat loves to be warm so at bedtime she tends to sleep by my head on the pillow. It's a neat arrangement, because my head keeps her warm and her fur is so snuggly it sends me off to sleep...and no, she doesn't have fleas. We get Frontline for that...and it works too! :-)

Sorry to hear that. I don't suppose me having a cat next to my face will help my skin problems but she is the only cat in the house and gets lonely downstairs. Silly but true. I know I shouldn't "give in" to her but I can't help it. She is more of an indoor cat than an outdoor one but we knew this when we bought her from the shelter. She just doesn't like other cats at all! One day we would love to move somewhere with a sheltered garden for her but that's a long, long way off at the moment!
Frontline is great isn't it? I remember years ago having to use the spray and the cats at the time would run a mile! These pipettes are so much easier...more expensive but easier! :-)

For me I let all my animals sleep with me if they like, I try to clean my sheets as often as I can and today is one of those days. For me if you dont let your pets be outdoors they are less likey to get fleas. Also I read an article about using baby shampoo to get rid of fleas on pets. I have not tried it yet myself but I have plans to the next time my pets get them. Nice topic to discuss and happy mylotting to you.

Yeah I let my little dog Ralphie sleep with my girlfriend and I basically every night. He's a real snuggly little dude and he does a great job of keeping the bed warm. He can get a little ornery if you bump him while he's sleeping but he just kind of moans and goes back to sleep. He is certainly a goofy little puppy.
We also have two kitties that sleep with us from time to time but they are always playing around and stuff and don't always have the time for bed I suppose. We also have another dog named Snoopy let comes and hangs out in the bed for a while but usually sleeps with my mom.

My two cats always sleep on my bed. They do fight over who is right next to me. They dont like each other. They are very cuddly and warm in winter.
Both my cats are very clean and wear flea collars.
I dont like my dog sleeping on my bed, for the same reason as you. Her breath smells. Actually it is very bad at the moment..
I will attach a photo of my cute dog.

My dog sleeps with me every night but she has her own blanket on her own side of the bed. And she is smart, she knows she is not supposed to be on my blankets and when I tell her to move (if she lays on my blanket), she gets right over on her own side of the bed on her blanket.
I've always had my dog or dogs sleep in bed with me. Right now that's just one family dog but I used to have a couple of Pomeranians and they both slept with me for 14 years. I've never had any problems from it.

Nope!! I don't like to sleep with pets. My brother and sister really love to sleep with cats... but me? no way... I don't like them to sleep with me. I can't tolerate the sounds of the cat's breath and their fur that always stick to sheets and comforters? I really hate that. We have pets but not sleeping with us.

Yes my cat sleeps beside me all the time. My cat likes to sleep by my feet and she also will bite you if you stop petting her.

My cat used to sleep in the bed with me, but he doesn't do it that much anymore. My wife and I have a baby now and our cat is very protective over him, so the cat will normally sleep on the floor beside the baby's bed or in the hallway outside of his room. We have had our cat since he was 5 weeks old and he is a little over a year and a half old, so he is more like our second child and he is very spoiled. My wife and I both are animal lovers and we would have more if we had the money to take care of them right now.

Yeah, that's okay with me. Well, I'm a reversed of yours hotsummer because I don't let my dog to sleep beside me but when it comes to my cat it's okay since she's nice and lovable though you're right that the fur of them is not good to our health but for more than 2 years of taking care of them I never encountered such allergy or any health issues. But there's one thing I really hate when I let my cat sleep by my side because there are moments wherein when I woke up I found some mild scratch on my leg or hand and I know that my cat it's my cat who did that but that's okay with me since I loved her so much.

I have a wonderful cat named lion. He sleeps on my bed every night. he sleeps on my lap as well. I wish I could take him outside with me. He is just too scary for that.

Yes,i'd love to.For me,the pets can give me a sense of friendship. In many ways,it can give you a lot of pleasure. With the time going on,you will be customed to the smell of the dog.Contrasted with the smell, you prefer to the sense of friendship.

i have two dogs in my home. i love them a lot. and i know that they also love me a lot. but when it comes to a matter of sleeping, then i would be frank with you that i don't sleep with them. i have seen that many of my neighbors sleep with their pets but i don't like it. my brother slips with me in my bed. i love my little brother. this doesn't mean that i don't love my pet. but i can't sleep with my pets. it is my habit not to sleep with my pet. up to 9pm in night i play with my pets. but after that period of time i say my dog to go in to his home and me self in my bedroom.
happy mylotting..

We just have a dog and there has been time where she has slept in our bed but we just recently bought a new comforter and sheet set so we don't let her on our bed anymore. I am sure that she still goes in there especially when we are not paying attention but as long as we can keep her off for the most part and not have to sleep in her dog hair as much I am happy.

Hi. Our little dog Xiefu normally sleeps with me on my bed or with my sisters'. Because we're living in a tropical country with warm weather, Xiefu takes a bath daily. We also brush her teeth.

I often let my dogs sleep with me with almost no problems except for the great dane he gets on the bed and will take up most of the room and then when he dreams he will yelp whine and cry and kick me in his sleep poor thing has alot of bad dreams I take it. They get a flea bath every other day and they have a special shampoo from the vet.

Letting my pet cat sleep by my side makes me sleep faster ( and better, too!). It sure takes time to make my cat (it's kitten actually) because before she sleeps, she'll run endlessly around the room. She'll jump bed by bed. Bite my toes (when im laid to bed). Oh, sleeping late at night because of that is just worth it.XD
