It definitely depends on the movie. I mean how many little kids do you know who are going to sit through a three hour long cartoon movie? But at the same time, would the Lord of the Rings movies have been as highly acclaimed if they were only an hour and a half each?
I've definitely thought that some movies needed to be longer... Tim Burton's most recent theatrical release, 9, definitely could have been longer. I was so sad when it ended, not because of the ending but because it was over. But some movies I just keep hoping and wishing, thinking to myself, "Is it over yet? Aren't we finished with this story? Didn't this movie end twenty minutes ago?"

It depends on the story behind but i think less than 2 hours would be fair, if not, uhmm...i will get sleep! LOL

The length of the movie should be exactly what the movie deserves. I have no problem in sitting 4 hours and watching a movie. Similarly, I also have no problem when the length is 1 hour. It all depends on what the movie is about and how much the director wants to say. If a movie is interesting then the time doesn't really matter.
