Well, I am back after a long hiatus of, 101 days to be precise! When we shifted the internet connection had to be terminated and I sought a new connection. But due to some technical problems the earlier company couldn't give the connection.
And to get a connection from other ISP it took exactly 101 days!
I couldn't do any online activity including being active on mylot. I did try to log in to mylot through a cyber cafe etc but it was not same as having the connection at home!
So friends, did you ever face such a situation? How do you manage when you have some important work to do online but you don't have connection at home?
Just want to listen to the similar experiences and how you managed it. So share your experiences!
Happy Mylotting!

101 days?? really? WOW!
Can't even think to be without internet for that long. I have tried to be away from internet (with connection available actually), but it only last for 3 days :p
And it have occured in Indonesia when the backbone to international web is down for around 8 days. It means for 8 days I can only access local website (the contents is not interesting enough :()
And once also ever happen to me, my provider (broadband) manage to do a maintenance and yes! My connection went down for more than 7 days. I think that was the longest time of my life without internet. Without the internet, hmmm, I just playing games, doing some sports, and hanging out with my friends.
Regards.

Hey wismay, oh, i would probably kill myself if i didn't have internet for 101 days. Anyways, the most time i didn't have internet for was for 6 hours, and 6 frustrating ones. Anywho, i can't really live or work without internet. Especially nowadays, work is being commonly dependent on using a computer, regardless the internet itself! If i didn't have internet for that long, i would seriously fail in life. Just focusing on the email section itself, would be a really big disadvantage.. I rely on emails for really important stuff related to work. Anyways, i would probably have to jam at a friends house or go to an internet cafe.

Hi, Wismay! Welcome back!
Currently, I am making money online and that means, life without internet even for just a day would make me lost some good opportunities. I ever did face this kind of situations where there was no electricity and there was something wrong with the internet connection. It was stressful and I only occupied my time doing some house chores. Of course, I still couldn't get it out of my mind that I have to pass some online tasks.
If I start to go to work next work, I am not sure if I am able to fully concentrate on online work, but I have experienced days without internet from my previous employment before. I worked in a travel agency where my day-to-day job required me to get in touch with the customers and suppliers daily for arranging tour packages and making bookings, so, it was like I have lost my right hand! Everything was so slow and the workload was doubling up. Still, I managed and I hope so can you. Good luck!

Meh, I could live without the internet if I had to. Although if I have access to it, I usually cannot resist surfing the world wide web for a bit.
When my internet connection goes down (which is often), I find something else to do or see what others are up to and try to join in with whatever interests me.

There are times when I can't access internet. Apart from mylot, I also do other things on mylot, searching information, preparing for my work etc. I belive many people work on mylot today. Without internet, we can't do a lot of things. I usually feel anxious and boring and feel like wanting to do nothing.

Lol just yesterday my internet company is having technical problems just less than 30 minutes and I am already screaming and getting angry calling the customer service and telling bring back my connection so I think I'm totally addicted with it and I cannot live without it especially I am working online for my ebay account where I get my daily money for the bills so definely a day will let me kill some internet call agent.LOL.

I have to say I feel bored or I feel that I will not have a great time for that day because I am missing my time online like here in myLot. I like it here and also I get worried with the games that I play in facebook. I want to make sure that I do not get offline for more than the hours I have chosen with a specific game.

Yes I can understand your situation and am so sorry to hear that. Most of us are addicted to internet specially when this has become our lifeline.
Except for a day or two I have not faced this problem all that seriously. When ever such a situation comes I go to a cyber cafe to access the net.
Anyway I am happy that you are back. I was just wondering and missing you here. Hope you will soon cover the lost ground. Best of luck.

With reference to your query, its quite dissapointing if the internet connection is disturbed. I feel upset especially if I need to check something over the internet. On the other hand, I just redirect my attention to other matters so not to focus more on the internet connection.

I feel like I missed out a lot. :-) I stay connected with most of my friends through social networking so whenever I'm unable to surf the net for a few days, I'm overwhelmed at the numerous posts whenever I check my e-mail or Facebook account. I can live without Internet connection but there is always that feeling that am missing something.

HOW DID YOU DO IT?! I'm sure I could get by, and my quality of life as well as my relationships would improve. But if I'm not sitting behind my computer desk, I am on my smart phone checking my email.

Welcome back, Wismay.
I had the same problem few weeks ago - there was a problem and our entire neighborhood was without internet for three days. And honestly, it was awful without internet and without My Lot. I prefer this never happen to me anymore, because it's so bored without internet - I am so much accustomed with internet - I love night time when I have done all my work to relaxing via reading here.
