It has been a disappointing season for the Reds so far, lying currently seventh. Their main goal now would be a top four finish. The good news is that Torres is back from injury. Arsenal currently placed third in the league, with a game in hand is 8 points behind leaders Chelsea. A major worry for the Gunners would be the long list of injured players. With Villa, Spurs & City breathing down the necks of the traditional four. Liverpool can turn the corner with a win. While Arsenal can keep their League title hopes alive with a win and pray Chelsea & United slip. Who do you think is going to win?

Put it this way, if Liverpool don't win then I think Raffy may lose his job. I want Liverpool to win as I find them an entertaining side and I cannot abide the sulky Arsene Wenger, such a bad loser!

haha prolly just pissed off at having lost the chance to be in a really good position and the pressure is there for all to see, 4 years without a trophy and all!!

As a Manchester United fan a draw would really suit me and that is what I think it will be. I reckon it will be a good game with plenty of great chances. I will go for a score draw.

Well, I don't think I can predict the match result as the match is already over. I am really happy for it, as I am an Arsenal fans. I watched the last match for awhile, watching how Liverpool got the goal, then I went to sleep. I was happy to hear the match result this morning, and knew that Arsenal has won!

Arsenal won the game with Arshavin scoring a superb goal for Arsenal. Liverpool will surely lose their Champions League spot next season.

Surely I get the best response in this thread, for correctly predicting the final score? Wish I had put a few quid on it now... An entertaining game, though. I thought Liverpool dominated the first half, but Arsenal were much stronger in the second. Gutted for Glen Johnson - he's a good player, didn't deserve the own goal against him. But what a strike from Arshavin to win the game... Did anyone see it?

:) Yes i did. Great game, lots of pace, very entertaining. Since all the Pundits on TV were rooting for Liverpool to win, i knew Arsenal would win. Liverpool absolutely dominated the first half. i thought Mascherano and Lucas were outstanding in midfield, and Almunia did not know what he was doing. As an Arsenal fan i've always seen 2 or 3 goal leads dissappear many times, the opponents always come back to draw or win the match, it did not happen on this occasion.

I have absolutely no idea. I'm a Liverpool fan: we've had a dreadful season, entirely lacking in consistency. My other half usually cheers for the Gooners: they've played spectacularly well at times, and abysmally at others. I really don't know who'll win; it's hard to call. My gut feeling is a 2-1 Arsenal victory, but I wouldn't put money on it! (I'm actually hoping for an Arsenal victory; Liverpool have no chance of winning the league, whilst the Gooners might conceivably stop Chelsea or United getting it again! )
