projector problem

Hi there,
I would like to use a projector with my laptop. My problem is that sometimes the projector shows just the Windows background. I can't see the mouse pointer and the icons, just the background picture. What can be the problem?

It is your output channel setting I think. Go to properties-Display Setting you will see your output channel monitor (indicated by monitor number 1 or number 2), try to switching it and restart both your projector and your laptop as some old projector type doesn't want to take a change until they restarted (happened to me :p)
