My goal is to read or listen to on audio book 100 books in 2010. I already have several down. The entire Alien Nation series, the entire Ender series, and the other two books by Brock Clarke who wrote An Arsonists Guide to Writers Homes in New England. I also plan to read all of Jane Austin's works and probably Jane Eyre. I'm thinking about adding the Jasper Fforde series about Thursday Next. I'm still about 79 books short even if I do every one of those. Suggestions? Please note that I have trouble manipulating particularly heavy books and prefer to listen to all books on audio tape/CD because I can do other things while I listen. I'm awaiting your suggestions and hope you will keep my requirements in mind. I don't like most romances especially the kind with a lot of random nudity with no purpose. I also am not much of a fan of treasure stories.

Hi Cripfemme, I am not sure if you like murder/mayhem/serial killing books but here are some authors that are good, John Sandford, The Prey Series: Harlen Corbin. J.A. Konrath wrote a mystery series that all have titles of drink names, "Whiskey Sour, Bloody Mary, Dirty Martini, etc" that are fantastic. An older series from Fantasy/fiction/sci-fi are the Anne McCafferty Dragon series. Another book I would recommend for fun but insightful reading is The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. Good luck with your list!
