After you get paid from work put some money up to save and don't touch it at all. Learning to budget can help with this then that way your not out of money and looking to go into the money you put up for savings. Having money saved up can help for when you have an emergency also or want to plan a vacation etc...

Survive on a loaf of bread everyday and walk to your destination if it is less than an hour.

Wow, you'd go through a whole loaf of bread everyday? That's a lot of bread! --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. I have always heard that a penny saved is a penny earned, but nowadays that would take forever and a day to get anywhere.

Throw all your change every night in a jar or can and watch it grow. We do that every year and usually have enough to pay real estate taxes. It really surprised us the first year we did that. Always decide what you want before you open the refridgerator door. Too many of us open and stand there and look even though we usually know what is already there. This will add up to a savings in a years time also.

If you don't need it don't buy it, even if it is on sale.. Don't buy something you can't afford with credit because it end up costing you much more.. People buy and collect so much useless junk that they wonder where their money went and then sell it all in a garage sale for a minute fraction of what they paid for it...silly isn't it?

list - grocery list
If you want to save money don't go shopping and if you have to go for groceries, make a list before hand and then get only what is on the list, no exceptions.

I try to buy things in larger quantities because it's cheaper in the long run. If you buy things in larger packages it's usually cheaper than it would have been if you bought the things seperatly or in smaller quantities. You may be spending a bit more than you wanted to now but you spend a lot less in the long run. The only thing I don't do this with is food that I don't know I'll eat before it gets bad,

If you use coupons put the money you saved into a jar, afterall you would have spent that if you didn't have the coupons anyway so might as well "spend it" and have that money in your jar to count at the end of the year (that is what we do anyway). Also use ChaCHa.com to find ways to make things at home instead of buying it at the store

Umm... try not to spend it all?? LOL Just put away a few dollars every once in a while. It could be every week, every other week, every month or whatever. It'll start to build up. --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. Buy only things that you need to have, not things you want to have. Also, when you go shopping only carry a small amount of money that way you won't spend as much.

I dont have any....I'm a shopaholic lol but I've been very good lately saving for christmas, putting a couple hundred on my credit cards and buying 1 or 2 christmas presents each payday. So by christmas time (I'm going home for a holiday for 2 weeks) I should have everyone a present as well as some spending money for my holiday :)
