According to various psychologists, being grateful at all times even to a very little things and manage to make this a habit will not only give us more of what we're grateful for but as well as more abundance from different areas of life, include your health. By simply saying "Thank you" for having the sunshine , "Thank You" for the having a computer, "Thank you" for Mylot... is enough to make your life more fruitful. In fact in our prayers, we are taught to praise God always, as a way of being grateful for all blessings received. In my personal life, I could really say that being grateful at all times brings tremendous power it brings into you life positively. Thank You For Reading this! Hehee

I am apolite person by nature and thank you and praises to others comes very easily. I tell God thanks for everything even the bad things. Today my boss shouted at me and I felt badly about it. I havent told Him thanks for that as yet. I am still thawing out but wilkl not go to bed with it unsettled.

I love you to hear your point about being grateful about bad things as well. Yes this is very great idea to apply. According to the well-known motivation speaker in the Philippines "Bo Sanchez". This kind of gratitude is sacred by being grateful for whatever situations come to your life. Because you believe God has the good reasons and He is ready to help you in any circumstances.

I try to say it.. whenever there's a need for it. I feel like manners are something that the world is seriously lacking these days. Whenever I go to Target or whenever someone does something nice for me, I ALWAYS try to acknowledge it by saying "thanks". It's important to me, because I like being told "thank you", too - it's just the RIGHT thing to do in most situations.

Hi mindrich Thank you for giving me a chance to express my opinions 'Thank you ' is the words I use most every day. I don't know how many times I say it. When my classmate lends me a pen, when my teacher helps me solve a problem, I would say it to express my appreciation. Even when the sun comes out, I'm also grateful to the sun for letting me have a better mood. I think to be grateful to others and speak it out can not only make ourselves happy ,but at the same time help us keep a closer relationship with others! What do you think of it?

I like this post, but I have also been thinking a lot recently about the fact that in Arabic, they rarely say "thank you." Instead, they say "ahumdulillah" which means "Praise God." I'm sure it sounds funny if we are to translate it into an English context and say "Praise God" when somebody compliments our sweater, but it definitely implies a certain amount of humility that we are often lacking in the American context. As a part of their culture, they are constantly giving credit back to God for the good things in life. In our own culture, we can sometimes come across as presumptuous when we take credit that maybe isn't even ours. Anyway, I agree that we should be more grateful, and I thought this was another addition to the discussion that readers can consider!

I think it's not the words that matters but the feeling you attached to those words, saying "Thank You" from the bottom of your heart matters most.

mindrich you are making me think, ouch hehe. no you are so right a nd I do say thank you a lot. I am staying for now in a retirement center called gold crest.we have care givers who do a lot of things for us retirees. and I am sure they do not get paid a huge amount. so when they give me a glass of juice or a cup of coffee or a plate of food I do say thank you. when the meds. nurse gives me my meds I also say thank you as its also a service given to me. why not thank people as they do things for you and I am thankful that they do.Yes we should do our prayers more often too. like every day is a gift from God and we should be grateful for that. I had not thought about the power it brings but I do notice that when I show thanks to the care givers they are always very sweet with me.some here never say thanks and some times the care givers turn their backs on them. a little kindness is always returned , a sour face and sour attitude begets the same thing back. what goes around comes around and being mean will just bite you in the butt.

I thank God every night for all the wonderful gifts He's given to me and for all the joy that fills my heart. When I'm out and about I say "thank you" a lot...had that drilled into my head as a child...and since I'm in the south, I hear "thank you" a lot, too.

Well, considering i work in retail, i wouldn't even be able to warrent a GUESS as to how many times i say thank you to the tons and tons of customers that i deal with. But if we were to exclude work, i would say i still say it quit often! I try to always be polite, and never wnat to come off as rude, impatient or bossy. I say thank you many many times per day to my boyfriend for all the little things he does, handing me my soda, helping with dinner, etc.

you are absolutely right. I too have not only 'heard' that gratitude is good for oneself as well, but have really experienced it too. Sometimes we tend to be very critcal of the way 'life treats us'. I too used to do that often. But consciously remembering one's blessings and giving thanks for it has been a great experience and makes me put things in the right perspective. Through this I realise that I am far more blessed than many other people who might be worse off than me, yet have the optimism to thank God for their lives. As you said, its the simple thing in life that we thank for...sunshine, nature, life, food, gadgets etc. Research has stated that having an attitude of gratitude attracts more positivity into your life, and more things to be grateful for!!! No wonder, when we say life sucks, it starts doing so... and appreciating ourlife makes it worth living... thanx..!!!

I'm so grateful here at Mylot that there are a lot of people who are buying into the idea of gratitude. Hope thru us we could make a positive movement to influence other people to focus on the positive side of life and let the law of attraction multiplies it. Thank you for dropping here you helpful idea notlsra. Hope you will accept my friendship with you!

Hello mindrich, To be honest, i don't really know. Probably overall i do say thank you about 20 times a day. I basically say thank you to someone even if it's something small. Like if someone makes you a cup of coffee or tea. Or if someone gets you the remote of the tea. Or if someone hangs you clothes. Even if someone picks up a pencil or biro for you :P. I believe in karma. I believe if you do something good for someone, than that goodness will be rewarded back to you in a different way.

Karma as you've said is tantamount to Law of Attraction. I guess we are in the same level of energy.

Saying Thank You for whatever reason would be a win-win situation, because it does as well for you as it does to the other party. It's just another little, simple means to feel good about yourself and improve your bonding with the other person. It may not do you a world of good, but it serves you in its own sweet course if you think long-term.

I really couldn't say how many times I say "thank you" in a day. I just say it too many times to count. There are a lot of things going on in my life, which I am grateful for, and I can't help but say "thank you".

I say "thank you" atleast once a day. I say this to God ( by the way, Im a Catholic ). I just wanna share something. Let's thank to everything that happens to us. and I mean EVERYTHING. Its just like thinking positive. for instance, You're running and you fell and broke your nose. You must still be thankful and maybe say "oh, Thank God, I didnt die". Something like that.
