are they really help the sick person cured?

I am wandering why most people stick to herbal medicines rather than those medicines that are being prescribed by the doctor? They are saying that if you take synthetic medicines for a long period of time, there will be delayed effect or reaction to our body. And that's why people prefer herbal medicines? For what i knew about herbal medicines is cannot cure a certain disease, only prevention.
Guys pls. give some insights about herbal medicines....

i highly believe that herbal medicines do cure. i can testify it with my friend and my dads experience. it can cure and prevents illnesses both. although you can always see on it the "NO THERAPEUTIC CLAIMS" message, still it does. my thinking here is that, if the department of health says that herbal medicines do cure, what will happen to the big medicine manufacturer around the globe. the bottom line, BUSINESS AND MONEY.

I believed in the power of herbal medicines. They are trusted especially by those people who can't afford to buy prescribed medicines.
We have a herbal garden at home and we always have those that can cure common diseases like cold, fever, and cough. They all work and save us money!

herbal medicines aka traditional chinese medicine in china. they have been broadly used for thousands of years, give human beings numerous benefits. they indeed do help us to fight the diseases, but more important thing we should aware that we must make the best use of herbal medicines, so the doctors should be considered when herbal medicines are used. also, herbal medicines takes advantages in those chronic disease.
