Hi, Jackie. Welcome to mylot. Before i give a comment i would like to tell you that you won't get credit if your discussion is short or less than three sentences. So better give your best in creating a new discussion or participating in other topics Anyway, I can't really tell how many hours of sleep i get but what i am sure of i do have this sleeping problem. I sleep late, wake up early or vise versa. In the afternoon if i feel sleepy and try to take a nap it will only give a severe headache. This has been a problem to me since i stepped in college. My body clock change.

Everyone has a different requirement for sleep! Not everyone has to have 8 hrs of sleep! When I was young, and in school, participated in sports, then worked for my Dad at the same time, (and chased girls) I needed 8hrs of sleep! As I grew older, worked , no sports, (quit chasing girls), I didn't need as much sleep! Now that I am old, don't work, no sports (other than TV) don't chase girls (other than TV) I get by with 3hrs and 20minutes of sleep, and don't need any more!

Your suppose to get 7-8 hours of sleep but I'm not personally on a great sleep schedule, I sleep late, wake up late, go to bed late, I only wake up early if I need too for some reason. I had a sleeping disorder in high school, I was very sick and I have fibromyalgia which is a muscle disorder which comes with chronic fatigue. I use to sleep 18 hours a day, which is unhealthy but I just couldn't wake up, I still have issues from time to time and I've tried to get on a normal schedule but it hasn't happened. I believe because of my sleep habits is one reason I haven't been able to lose a lot of weight, I'm not huge, average but I'd like to be healthier and I understand not sleeping well can result in weight gain. But yes, I agree with the person who commented before me, make sure your discussion has something too it or you won't receive credit, and respond to your own comments on your discussions you receive and comment on others as well. Everyone's sleep is different but that's just how I am, I'm hoping it changes, I've been trying, it would be nice to be on a normal schedule.

Well, it depends but if I'm not tired the whole day maybe my sleep is 6 hours and it's good enough for me to get back to normal the next day. However, if I'm busy and I need to attend some works I would only get 4-5 hours so that would be depend on your life style as well. But most research suggests that a person should sleep at least 8 hours because that's a healthy doing though we knew that since some of us usually assigned to graveyard shift then I doubt it if they can sleep a full 8 hours the next day because it's not easy to sleep in the morning.
