Do meet personally your online friends?

Hi care! I have not have any such opportunity to meet my on-line friends, though I would much like to see them in person. I have met some person online, but they are my schoolmate, we came to know each other on the school internet. I guess meeting a stranger is a little dangerous, for internet is a place fulfilled with uncertain factors.

yea, i have met two of them. actually, one of them is my close friend. actually, i accidentally met her, because she just texted me that morning that she will at my place. well, at the late afternoon she called me and she said that she's now in our city and she dont know where to go. i'm really shock, because i never thought she will visit me in that way and in a split second. well, i'm really grateful meeting her. and i'm happy! :]

Hi Careguarden, No. i haven't experienced meeting personally my online friends. if somebody will organize one for a reunion, i will consider coming to meet them all. it will be fun. someone started a similar discussion like yours and we even extended the discussion of having an international gathering --why not right?

When I was twenty, internet just started to boom in China, people feel fresh for internet friends. I was also so crazy about internet chatting and making friends on internet. More than that, people will ask out to meet each other after some chattings, most of them try to find boyfriend or girlfriend through internet and few get married finally just like me lol.

Yes, I did. In Oct., my friend from USA came to visit China. We met and spend some time together. I think people will do that only if they both feel comfortable to do that. It is also natural they have worries about scammer, or they are afraid of meeting unpleasant or boring people in person. They tend to avoid any danger. Some people may believe that cyber world is another dimention of the society, not to intefere with each other. There are also some people sincerely looking for loving relationship on internet, but that's not the majority.

I have met a couple people in real life that I was friends with online, and with one exception, it's never worked out. Not that anything terrible happened to me, they're just never what they seemed to be online. The one exception was a girl that I dated for about a year after meeting her on planetout.com. We've long since broken up, but we're still friends, and there are tons of things in my life that I wouldn't have found if it wasn't for her. However, all the other people I've tried to meet have been weird and awkward and nothing like what they said.

so far i haven't meet my online friends because they are outside my country if happen they are also living in my place maybe we can meet and have a coffee.sharing ideas and views since mostly of my online friends are foreigner.if given a chance knowing them i will welcome them with open arms.

I have online friend's that I made through various networking places which I have met a few off them offline. But if they're creepy I totally ditch them. But a couple have become really good friends.
