How to clean waste ink tank in Canon ip4200 Printer ?

hi, i have a canon inkjet printer model number ip4200, when I switch on the printer it says printer's waste ink tank full error. If i take the printer to canon authorize service center they say that I have to use original ink cartridges to reset the printer's motherboard and clean the tank.
My question is, is there any way that I can reset the printer's motherboard without installing a new cartridge because original cartridges are very expensive ?

Actually all Canon Printer are like that especially if the counter is already full then it say 'printer's waste ink tank full error' or even if the cartridge is full it will detect as empty. The solution to this is to reset the counter motherboard and you have to download the software or the 'resetter'. Just download the software and install it in your M$ Windows PC plug in your USB port make sure it is power on and follow the instruction through it this is straight forward.
