We had such a terrible ice storm last year in central massachusetts where all surrounding towns got hit also. We lost power for over two weeks and the gas and light company had crews coming in to help them get us all turned back on from all over the place. We all sat in cold dark homes/apartments and stuck it out because a lot of us had no where else to go. The strange part of it all is that some towns actually had a party to celebrate the year of the ice storm. I truly dont understand why they would celebrate it where it really wasnt something to be proud of. We all listened to our intown radio stations to keep informed and lots of people ended up passing away or becoming very ill from sticking it out at their homes. So why celebrate it? I think a lot of people are just looking for any reason to have a party. What do you think about it?
