I was wondering if it were possible to connect my Playstation 2 to my computer monitor?? It would be wonderful to find a way to play all of our games right at the computer desk!

Well according to my research, it is possible to do so, but you may need to buy a few thing to accomplish this, here's a video on youtube that shows it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJj1E0FWXMc

Yes you need a converter for that.
Just conenct the AV cable from ps2 to the converter
then conenct the converter's VGA or DVI output cable to your PC monitor.
And voila!
