I think if you can find the time to walk (as fast as you can) for about 45 minutes to an hour everyday, that is the best for controlling weight. Some say running is better, and it does burn more calories, but you are more likely to injure your self running, walking is really safe. I also like walking because it gives you time to think and reflect :)
