Help required with Geforce 7600 S-Video to TV...

I recently lost the use of my desktop monitor and am trying to temporarily connect the computer to a TV via the S-Video out on my Geforce 7600. Leads and extensions are all present and correct but I'm getting a blank screen. I'm sure it would work (in theory) but I'm guessing it needs to be configured. As I have no way to see what I'm doing I'm working blind. Any ideas on how to set it up without seeing? eg. keyboard shortcuts? I'm currently on my Vista running laptop and the desktop is running XP. Is there a way for me to get into and control the computer from the laptop? Please help as I'm not going to be able to get a new monitor for some time.

It sounds like you will need to be able to acess the pc somehow first in order to go in the nvidia control panel, from there, there is an option in the dispay section, set up multiple monitors in there there is a force television detection option and hopefully this will work for you. unfortunaely i havent a clue on how you will see anything without a monitor first, i would suggest borrowing one, if thats possible.
