One day for love in 2012

Hi sid, :) I really appreciate that. :) I wish we could do what you suggest. But targets should always be achievable. There are things that are deeply seated in many, a lot of pain to an extent that forgiveness on regular basis is as asking a bit too much. Very difficult for some. So those who find it difficult and have adequate reasons to find it hard to forgive, I just want them to try to recall happy moments they shared with their now enemy, former friend, and kind of relive the moment. I am trying to counter 2012 belief with a positive belief that we can release some positive vibes by having loving thoughts, which are powerful enough to override these cosmic phenomenons. I want to check whether fear of such event can actually help some to put a few of their prejudices behind.

Hi Buchi_bulla, I am not asking for extraordinary things. Everybody with whom we are annoyed has hurt us in some ways. People who hurt us have also been people whom we loved once upon a time. But our dislike has completely overshadowed those times, which I feel releases only bad vibes in environment, and in turn, more people are inclined to remember their hurts. If we for a day shelve those thoughts, and concentrate only on the happy thoughts, even relating to our enemies, and are good with them at least for a day, may be the good vibes that we release in the environment come back to us. I dont really believe in 2012 per se. I used 2012 as a source of fear that could unite all of us. Thanks for your prayers. :)

I don't exactly get your points here, my friend. But I understand that you are preparing something that there will happen on 2012...Did you fear that year will be the big event of all the creatures of the earth? No need for us to recruit or say love each other. Because is spread all over the world. What kind of love you want to be? If you we can love each other in purpose but if there is no hindrances... Love is all around, my friend don't worry about that...

Ah aerous, thank you for giving me opportunity for explaining. 1. I dont believe the event will happen. But many do. We humans have a tendency to unite against any such events, be it the manmade terminatory, or nature made calamities. Ironically, it is fear that unites us. 2. If we as humans fear the phenomenon that is not really certain then there may be a way out of this, which is as of now equally unproven. I am suggesting that it is collective feeling of love. We've never tried it. It is an opportunity for us to experiment it. 3. I suggest that there are many feelings that move across without communicating through normal mode of communication. For example - you are leaving a theater that gives you a feeling of optimism. And just as you come out, you notice an accident. That feel good factor evaporates. But if the same accident was reported over the television, your feelings of sadness might not have been that intense. I suggest that there is something like cosmic energy which leaves from one body and passes through another aligning the internal chemical components (dextro levo rotation) to perceive those feelings. The impact is less at home, as there is not adequate amount of that energy coming from all sources. This is unproven, but it is as much of a possibility as the end of the world in 2012. 4. So is it possible to stop that phenomenon with love? We with our love would form a common barrier across the world, that prevents the cosmic energies having their way. At least, love is believed to have that power, so shouldn't we put it to test? 5. Love our enemies? Is it possible? Of course not! We are no saints. Therefore, this seems impossible thing to ask. Isn't it? I was again suggesting dont leave your prejudices. Just reflect before the due date, was everything about that relationship truly bad? Were there no good moments, were there no moments when the other person was kind, and good to you? Agreed, eventually things soured. But the period of love or friendship that we shared was much longer, isn't it? Should we let a period of dislike because of an action overshadow our previous selves so much that we amputate a part of our life? 6. So the ultimate thing that I am asking is on that one day we dont think bad about that person who hurt us, we dont think "why did he / she hurt us", or "if only he/she had not done that", or "I wish this (bad) happens to him/her", or "God will punish him/her", or "He/she had it coming", or anything of that sort. Instead, we focus on how much love we have in us, and how much we can share with everybody, and possibly, how much we enjoyed even with that friend turned enemy. If we feel our hearts with love only for one day, with no anger for anybody, may be we can thwart the cosmic energies getting a smooth passage through us. 7. We can resume our hatreds and thoughts the following day. Too much of bottling is not good. But to reach that level of controlling thoughts completely for one day, we need to practice and resolve. That is why so much of gap. I thought may be we may experience something good with this attempt.

Of course, it need not wait that long. And I am so glad aerous there are people like you. :) But I think we can have more people participate in this, if we wait a bit longer. And another factor is the fear. If we try to even do it for one day, and believe me I tried today, it was tough! Under normal circumsances, it might have been easier, but our mind is a strange thing rather my mind is an indisciplined brat, what I try to ask it not to do, it goes about doing exactly that! So it will be a tough call for some of us. It gives us a chance to try and recall some good moments with these foes of ours, and may be even kindness so that we feel more composed, and a need to unite. That is the idea. :) I am not asking that you call up your enemy and tell them explicitly you've forgiven them. I am only asking you not to recall any wrong done to you - for one day.

Actaully it depends how much your communicating in the said language and how much time u spend reading or listening in the same. Imagien when a kid is born he learns it by listening and then repeating what we say. So in my view if u listen enoguh u will be able to express more.

Hi Totorns, that is a nice observation by Bo Sanchez. We do need to work on every relationship. I often think that people with whom we have major altercations, or differences are people we once loved. I think well, we loved them for almost 10 or 20 yeasrs, and one episode of about 2 or 3 days is enough to over ride that? Is that it? Am I so immature? Am I not wiping out part of my life as well? Everytime I think of them, I can only remember the last two or three days when we fought! I seem to have written off whatever pleasant moments I had as something that happened in somebody else's life. It is that realization that has prompted me to revisit those feelings. I also want to counter this 2012 prophecy with an equally illogical but plausible way. Suppose we all are just filled with loving thoughts for a day - with no free passage for feelings of hatred that may be moving cosmically - now such resistance to cosmic energy is likely to reduce any natural force that is coming in. And therefore, it may be possible to thwart nature's anger with such an effort, just by practicing it for one day! We can all check whether we feel good after that. Can't we? Suggesting that we practice it everyday seems a bit tough. Small steps towards bigger objective may be? :)

I am not asking you to forgive or forget in that sense. :) I am just asking you to spend that one day remembering only the good moments that you shared with such a person. If it hurts too much just obliterate the hurt for a day. Let us see if we can only be filled with love for one day, if we recall no unhappy thought about any pain, but only love for all those who are around. Is it possible? That shouldnt be very difficult I think. It just needs a bit of resolve. I am not asking you to call them. I just want your mind to be vacant of any anger, hatred, dislike, etc., and filled with love instead - just one day.

Thank you for your compliment. As what you said it rightly, love is encompassing. My friends celebrate 14 Feb with a group of unrelated. Some celebrate with family. Hence, in my opinion, 14 Feb need not be confined to romantic love.

Love is more than just the love between two partners, it is also love between mother and child, father and child, brothers and sisters, friends, and pets. That is why just for a day we will not be prisoners of rancor. That is what I was suggesting. And thans for agreeing to participate in this. :)

Hi Hatley, sorry for delay in response. Just that I kept searching for this one, and finally I found it. My responses are simply too voluminous, arent they? Need to learn how to express myself as briefly as possible. :( Coming to the discussion, you are a strange mix of naivette and wisdom. :) If we are told to do something everyday, and for which there is no penal action, or reward, we are not likely to do it! That is human nature! At least, that is what I understood so far! So tell them, look sin as much as you want, except that one day. When you give people that kind of liberty, then the attraction of defying the norm is lost, and they dont do it as ferociously as they would have had such things been imposed on them. For example, try spending one day not thinking about your problems but only positive things in your life. Just one day. And you will know how much you have to control and monitor your mind for that. But if there is nothing like that, you may have several such days where you are quite happy and the problems take a backseat. I too dont believe it, but I do believe that humans unite against any calamity or fear. So, we will unite as we get closer. Those who believe in such forecasts should not have any problem in believing in true power of love and comraderie that can thwart cosmic forces. For those of us who are shall I call realistic, it would help to leave our skepticism just for a day. How about it?

Yes, that was the idea peacefulwmn. We do tend to completely erase the good times we shared, and focus only on bad, dont we? Why do we do that? After all, it is part of our own life that wipe off! I am expecting nothing extraordinary. Just recollect some good times even with your enemies. As I mentioned elsewhere, I expect this to release some good vibes, and may be it will eventually have a good effect on all of us. :) I believe the fear of 2012 should make it easier for us to unite as humanity. :)

I know. ;) But most are so scared. :) So I came up with this idea to counter their fears. Giving some hope so that they feel equipped to push away the problem. And if I'd say we start from today, then of course, not everybody would manage that, and therefore they would feel, oh! I did that, so now it is impossible, and that is going to happen anyway, and get depressed. :) So I randomly selected just one day.

He he Satan! Now it is my turn to laugh! No, not at all. :) I am not at all concerned about 2012. :) But I see so many discussions out here that I feel many are mentally accepting it to be true! It could, for all that it matters, be a propaganda before releasing the movie. I have yet to see Notradamus's evil in blue in North Africa. :) So no, I dont think this will happen before the evil in blue turns up. LOL. Either Nostradamus is wrong or this is wrong. LOL. Kidding. Logically it doesnt fit. We are grossly underestimating the forces of universe. If any such thing were truly there, at least some of the planets in our solar system would have been spinning wildly by now. After all, we have distance of about several years in terms of earth time. Even if they are not in a line and whatever, it still doesn't make sense because such things if they occured before would have been recorded relating to other planets. Researchers have not managed to predict our poor earth's earthquakes with all the data at their disposal, but they are able to precisely predict the turn of axis with data that may be highly inadequate! Beats me how somebody can be so intelligent. LOL. And lets just say, the US President didnt say write off the loans anyway 2012 is coming, and mothers stop studying there is no future. LOL. Nor did the researchers pull out their children from schools telling them look we just have 5 years (presuming this talk started approximately 5 years ago). So there is no point in you going to school, you wont live to work anyway, so here I liquidate my house, let us all enjoy our last few years on earth. :) That is my simple logic about 2012. Not very scientific but still it makes sense, isn't it?

So Satan, I was trying to use their fears to unite them and make them feel loved and cared, and help them care for others I guess. :) If such thing does happen against all my logics and information of credible sources as you put it, then I would have already started a process that may be (please read it exactly as that - may be) effective in stopping it! An equal amount of illogics has been applied to state that there can be a barrier to the universal phenomenon formed out of love and lack of dislike for others for one day, which would offer resistance to cosmic forces and the phenemonon would leave us alone. This is not proved but neither is the cosmic phenomenon that such timid souls are feeding their minds on. :)

Hi Sunnycool, that is a big compliment coming from youngsters like you. No. I never believed it, ever. :) I just saw too much of violence and students agitation today that prompted me to come up with a discussion that wanted peace all around. Under normal circumstances, we are hardly likely to give it due attention. But with an impending fearsome event, it might just be possible for people to push aside there personal feeligns and look forward to a better future. I just wanted to check whether it is possible to unite like that, even for one day. I am not asking go and hug the person who has wronged you. I am just asking everybody to only remember better times with their friends and relatives so that only good vibes are emanated for one day. What it will do, I dont know. But it was just a suggestion. I dont even know whether such energies come out from everybody!

Honestly no. :) But I just wanted to see if we can all have this collective power to be friends with everybody in our thoughts for just a day. For just a day we remember - we dont have to go out and say - hey mister I forgive you, please come for lunch at my place. We just have to remember pleasant moments with that person, that is all. I thought that would emit enough good vibes. Its an experiment, wanted to check whether it is possible. :)
