Judgement Day

Many are the prophecies about the end of days. The Armageddon of the bible, 2012 of the Mayans, and another by Nostradamus. But this is something that everyone already knows right? We have been warned many times. Crazy climate change and everything that our scientists predict and feared many years ago are slowly coming to reality that the world as we know it will end if we don't do something about it.
My question is, why are people like this? Is it really only at the precipice that people change?
I think we have been investing our money on the wrong things. We have been wasting our natural resources for vanity. We all look skyward, but then in the name of progress, we destroy ourselves.
Instead of adjusting to the environment, we try to make the earth adjust to us.
So, why with all the money and intelligence can't we do something about it. We can't change human nature, but I believe we can do something about our inevitable extinction.
For me, mankind doesn't have to end on judgement day.
We have been warned. Let's evade. It will happen if we let it.
Man can only keep fighting until his true destiny is revealed to him.
Whatever the end maybe, it be the Mayan's the Bibles or War,. . . it is certain. All death is. Its only a question of when.
I say evacuate Earth.
I read Warhammer 40k a lot.

I see... you believe in the Bibles version of world's end. I want to believe in it too.
But I take all possibilities into account.
If judgement day was something we could avoid then why wont we right?
I posted this not to be anything against religion, but I posted this as a wake up call.
In fact when I decide to do something, such as making this post, I make religion my right hand and my own logic as my left hand so I can properly utilize both elements for good reasoning.
Thank you for sharing your ideas.. I will read the Bible more. You serve God well
