hi fellow mylotters! i'm starting this discussion as a follow up to my other two previous discussions. the first one, i asked if you think you'll be spending more, less, or about the same for your holiday shopping this year. the second one i asked about your most innovative ways to cut down on your holiday shopping this year. for this third discussion, i'm going the complete opposite of the second one and i ask you guys to splurge and spend as much as you can to buy gifts to the most important person in the world... YOU!!! ok, ok , that's a bit taking it too far but you get my drift. list down three or perhaps five of the best presents you wan to get this holiday season. i don't to hear about some juvenile cr@p about getting peace of mind or world peace or acceptance from friedns and loved ones or any of that sentimental bs. i want to know what gifts you would love to receive this holiday season, actual physical, insanely expensive gifts that would make your day. i know being rich is relevant, meaning what maybe expensive to me is peanuts to others out there but please be as honest, wacky, and innovative as possible. after all it is only a list but who knows, santa might be mylotting as well and see that we have been nice and actually give us one or in the most perfect sense, all of the gifts that we want. i'll start with my list: 1) a pair of oakley or rudy project shades 2) a pair of levi's 501 jeans plus another black one (not necessarily 501 but it has to be levi's) 3) 3-5 pieces of round neck shirts in white, black and gray/grey colors plus another 3-5 pieces v-neck shirts in black and gray/grey colors. 4) a new pair of kicks, either an old school chucks or an eight hole doc martens 5) a black ali adidas jacket i could go on and on but hey, i got to save some of my holiday wish list for the coming holidays! lol! looking forward to reading everyone else's wish list. cheers!!!

clive cussler did a number of novels most notable is 'raise the titanic' the guy lives his life through the main character in his story, dirk pitt. clive cussler has an organization, national underwater marine agency (numa) so all of his novels happen near or around the ocean. dirk pitt is a director for numa. his other novels have other main characters but all are associated with numa. the guy is a class act. he collects vintage cars and looks for wreckages of ships and submarines and the like through hi sorganization. mario puzo wrote the godfather... enough said. lol! also, he did the screen play of some of the superman movies, bit of trivia there. a home library will be nice. i'll make that my pet project for next year since i've already established an entertainment room recently. i think a home library balances things out. cheers!!!

I think so. It's been my dream to have a home library. And I believe I've bought more books and magazines than clothes when I started working. I normally buy Entrepreneur magazines at least once every two months. I'm thinking if I'll subscribe for the 2010 issues. I have Reader's Digest annual subscription since 2002 up to this year. I'd like to renew it again next year...but I'm still thinking. I've already read The One Minute Entrepreneur at the Powerbooks but I'd like to buy it as gift for my husband. He may also be interested in reading this book. The book titled "Duh?!!" by Francis Kong is highly recommended by some of my friends. I think the book is about the common pitfalls done by intelligent people. More on business ideas... I am currently collecting Grisham and Coelho books. I think I already have almost half of the books written by Grisham. I have just started collecting/reading Coelho books. I have not yet read any books written Clive Cussler and Mario Puzo. I'll do some research about them. Do you have any recommendations (specific book titles) if I would like to try reading any of their creations? Many thanks in advance.

Oh, interesting facts about Clive Cussler. I hope I could read one of his novels soon. I just have to finish my previously bought/received books. Thank you so much for sharing these info.

Well this Christmas money is really tight for me so I am absolutely spending much less than I normally do. I used to have a higher paying job and made much more money, and also I just bought a house so my expenses are a little higher. Because of those two factors I am much more limited on my available funds. As for what I would like for Christmas, I am not very picky. I would like a new bra, as I need one pretty badly. A few nice shirts would be great. I also love to shop online so any gift cards are wonderful as well. Happy holidays and best wishes!

I would love to have one person minus in my life. I would love to have several nice pretty sweaters in charcoal grey and plum that I see in the catalogs. Some lottery tickets would be fun too! A pair of warm, colorful and maybe even silly pajamas. Maybe some nice brand of the bubbly to have for the New Year. Yep. That would nice.

It seems you have a big list of things that you wish to get. Hope you will get all of them this time. I have a small list of things, but I hate to ask people for gifts. I hate to tell people that I need a list of things and asking them to get it for me even if from my family. I don't know about their concenrs and budget. My wish list starts here: 1. 34" Levi's jeans in light blue color 2. A pair of hoop earrings for my second earring (which my husband is getting me for Christmas) 3. A backpack - VIP, Nike, or Addidas (which I need to buy anyway) 4. A black leather strap watch of Titan - Sonata. 5. A pure pink lipstick.

My wishlist this year consists of more clothes so I can go to work and look halfway decent when I get there. I'd also like some more video games for my Wii and for my DS system. I'd also like a new computer but I know that no one in my family can afford that and I'm OK with that. I'd prefer to buy the computer myself anyway so I guess it's one of those goals that I'd like to work towards. In all reality I'd just like some good stuff and be able to spend some time with my partner. I've always wanted to spend more of the holidays with my partner but it's quite hard as we live in different places at those times because of life constraints.
