Well, like you, my time is also hired by a private firm and I don't have problem if my trip would related to my job...that's official. ii got your point as it relates to your topic--my response is focused on going to an official trip because that's all the trips that i do. my trop to US was work and i was prepared for --i mean i have extra money to support the days while i am waiting for my first salary. then every time i go home to the the province to visit mom, i have some esxtra money to give mom for my meds. so for official trips i can't buy anything i want because i really don't have exstra money for it...i only have money for my food and transportation related to work. what i appreciate is at least i was able to visit the place for free despite the fact that i was not avble to explore the place and buy some souvenir items 'cause i dont have enough or extra money with me. quite frustrating!

Yes I understand my friend..We have to be really prepared if possible on our trip. Well, it depends also on a situation like an emergency that you have to act instantly. Better if we have savings or like you, you have credit card but for someone like you that never had a credit card I think I would just lend from our friends.
