It may be a long time, perhaps never, but if a flying car was developed and manufactured, would you be willing to purchase and use a flying automobile? You would probably have to obtain some type of limited pilot's license and be tested annually, but would you be willing to do this, in order to operate the vehicle.

I would be willing to buy a flying automobile if I could pass the test to fly the car. If I could not get my license then maybe a friend of my could at least give me a ride in their flying car.

...Hi happy, hope you are doing well. I think a lot of people would feel the same way. Unless they could afford a chauffeur who had his pilot's license if one was needed. It would be a whole new world if we were flying around town in our automobiles. If I had one, I would never go out at night, if you were allowed to fly at night. Wild in the city. Thanks for your comment. Take it easy.

As Superman I really don't need a flying car. But then again I'm getting tired of getting bugs in my nose and mouth so maybe a flying car might be useful after all. But it would have to be equipped with sensors that would automatically prevent cars from getting too close to each other. If they have crash prevention sensors then I'm ready to go.

...Hi 1hopefulman (my favorite name), Yeah I think you are quite right, your awesome powers will take you wherever you want to go and then some.
Hey, now that sounds like a winning idea for safety and less accidents right now. You know, you might want to contact an automobile company now with that idea. Quickly write it up, date it and mail it to yourself so as to protect your idea. I am serious. That's a great idea, like an alarm clock in the car to prevent getting too close. Tell them you have an idea, can't tell them what it is. Negotiate and sell it. Take care always. You are funny.

Well, wonder no more, it's already here, lol. Actually this isn't the first one either. A model came out in the early 70's too. It was a bit awkward though. It took off ok but didn't fly all that great and as a car, it drove pretty clumbsily so only a few were ever prodiced and sold. a few collectors still ahe and fly them today, but they are mostly curiosity pieces.
The latest versin I don't know much about, looks pretty sleak but I don't know how well it flies or drives for that matter. I would imagine a pilots license would be required for it. There are other light aircraft that don't require a pilots license....such as ultralights and motorized paragliders though.

...Hi there xfahctor, Well you learn something every day. i had no idea there were even a limited number of them. I remember a lot of talk about them, but had not seen one anywhere. In an art class a long time ago that I attended, the teacher wanted us to draw our version of the future, I drew little flying cars, that would land on the tops of huge circular topped building which housed everything you wanted to shop for in one place. Sort of like a giant circular Walmarts. What were the prices like if you remember? The future is now! Thanks for your informative response. Take care.
