My computer was bought two years ago,and it is Acer Aspire 4520G,and now it works well.I wanted to play games, but now I just work by using office and surf on line. So,I think maybe I could buy a cheaper computer at that time, because many function for me is a waste, such as independent display card. And what about you and your computer?Just share your views.

Hi. I am currently using a seven-year old Dell Latitude C60 laptop. It was actually issued to me in 2002 by my previous company. We used it in performing our audit fieldworks. Based on the company's policy, laptops are replaced every 4 years and the used laptops are issued to the user for personal use. Sort of loyalty token if the employee stayed with the company for 4 years. The company issued this laptop for my personal use starting in 2006. I have been resigned from the company but I still have this remembrance from them. This computer may be old, but it's still running efficiently. It has not yet undergone any repairs for the past seven years.

I've got an Acer Travelmate. Although the battery life is over, I am still using it, and it's good enough for me.

I bought my desktop computer in September 2001 before laptops became fashionable. It was one of 2 flat screen PCs in the shop, the other being a Hewlett Packard, a horrible plasticky contraption, the rest were CRTs. I wanted a computer that "would not be obsolete in 6 months" so the shop assistant showed me the comp I am using now. It's a Sony Vaio PCV-RX302 and cost something silly like £1,200! However, I paid for it in bits with no interest and I am glad I did because (with love, care and a memory upgrade) it is still going strong. I met my hubby on the internet too so it also has sentimental value, which is daft I know but I will genuinely be gutted when this comp finally packs up for good! I have also replaced the keyboard and mouse about 3 years ago. I now have an Advent cordless keyboard and mouse which is actually more practical than the corded Sony combination I had before. The flat screen, separate speakers (which are ace) and the tower, however, are still originals.
