What is your preference. Do you like to buy things via cash or you buy it using ur credit card. I mean some people like to buy using credit card only while some like to use cash only ,so they dont have to be under any debt. What is ur preference for shopping ??

hey vicky.. just wanted to share that i personally use both. i use my credit card for the rewards i get by charging & i use it because i feel safe knowing i don't have money in my purse, in case i were to lose it! i do use cash for certain situations like if a store is offering a price reduction, cash only :) just keep in mind, when using a credit card, you have to have discipline. if you are a big spender, i'd go with the cash, only so you don't max out your card in a onetime shot!

Your method is very safe and risk free. I mean we should be using card when it is cheaper or safe, while most cases we should use cash because it keeps u debt free. I know there are people who prefer buying things by card because they dont like the hassle of keeping lots of cash with them, while others like to buy with cash since they dont like any debt on their head.

I have had to use credit cards in the past to buy some stuff when I didn't have the cash to pay for them. Unfortunately, some of these items, such as repair work on my truck for example, were a little pricey, so I am now struggling to pay off the credit card debt. I prefer to use cash when I purchase something, and I advise other people to do the same thing. Once the credit card companies get you to use their cards, the high interest rates make it really hard to be able to afford to pay the balances off quickly, so it sometimes takes years for people to pay off that debt, especially if you have to keep using the card for some reason.
Unfortunately, our politicians don't have the guts to pass legislation that will reduce the interest rates these card companies can charge, or that will limit the amounts of fees and penalties the companies can charge you. I am pretty sure no one would vote for me, or I would consider running for public office to try to get some things passed myself. LOL

Hello vicky22101984 this is checkmail and often do shop for various goods, and mostly use cash to buy it.Cash is accepted by each and every shops, malls, small vendors, etc., so prefer cash over credit card. But there is one cousin of mine, she prefers to buy goods from credit card and doesn't carry cash with her, might be her security pro.But many a times i had to again visit some shops due to non-avail of credit card facility, so strictly use cash for purchasing any goods, its more convenient for me atleast.Happy Mylotting.

as of now i have no credit card but even though i would gonna have one(undecided) i will still buy my stuff through cash. for me I don't find any advantage of having a credit card instead a lot of disadvantages; you will loose control of your expenses, you'll just be addicted with your credit card (buying everything you want even though its not so important), and worst you have to pay interest which i hate most.

Through cash. I don't have any credit card and I don't need either. Cash is easier and faster I think, and I shouldn't pay any taxes, too!

I like buying goods and services by paying cash. I don't prefer credit card. Suppose if I possess credit card then always there will be a temptation of buying goods all the the time and ultimately I will fall into debts. Debts may be high. This can bring frustation.
I think this happens with most of the persons.

For me it depends how your shopping for that good. What I mean is, on online stores, you would obviously pay by credit card but here, in the "real" world, I hardly ever use my credit card, I normally just pay by cash to get it over with as I take paying by credit car too time consuming especially when it might say that it is invalid and doesn't work or you mispell your password, this really annoys me. That's why, in everday shopping, I prefer to pay by cash.

I used to use credit cards all the time. now, I have alot of debt and not a whole lot to show for it. It's actually my goal to get rid of my credit card debt, or at least most of it, before 2010 is over. I have already gotten rid of most of my credit cards. So to answer your question, these days, if I spend money, it's cash only. I am learning to live withing my means. And while it was fun to be able to buy whatever whenever with the credit cards, it's so not fun paying for it now.

Well, using a credit card in a smart way is good. That is, only if you can. Most of the people don't know how to use credit card. The smart way to use a credit card is only to use it if you actually have the cash to buy what you want. So what's the credit card for if you have the cash already? Its for safe travel and safekeeping of your money. You don't need to bring your money anytime with you. For example, which will you prefer, to bring $3000 cash or a credit card to buy a high-end thread mill? og course a credit card. Its easier to bring and its safer.
