For the same reason they have braile language on Drive-up ATM machines...there are county or other ordinances saying that they have to because not having them is considered discrimination against handicapped or blind people...it makes no damn sense to me...I am sure there are not that many blind people out there driving up to the ATM machines...LOL This is yet another example of how stupid some of our government officials are...

Hi golden,
Blind people may not drive but they do have drivers and they do have bank accounts and so it really does make sense for them to be able to access their accounts on their own. If I were blind, the more I was able to do on my own, the better. Same with the parking situation. Handicapped people really do work. It's really not as dumb as it initially sounds when you think about it.

Actually, I have a disability myself, and I know there are a lot of handicapped people out there who are pretty self-sufficient. However, I am sure they don't need Braille signs at ATM machines that are designed to be driven up to.

I've never seen such a thing but then around where I live we don't have drive-thru only fast food joints. My guess would be that they put them there for the employees. Many handicapped people do work and they also drive so it actually makes sense to me that they would have such parking spots.
