Usually, I posted some 15 discussions, and I leave some comments on other people's discussion a day, I got really good earning on the next day. Now, even though I do the same, the pay rate just go down. I know, I know; many people would say that relate to the quality of the content. But before, I don't really have everything in good quality as your guys consider. So, don't you feel that the paying rate is going down on mylot?

Clorissa it's the same story as a few months ago all over again?
If you start discussuons and leave them unattended you will not earn. I thought that you had learnt that by now
I find no difference whatsoever with the earnings. If I am here discussing with others then I earn. If I just come and read and post with no interaction the earnings are lower.
Test it out here:

Several months back many of us tried to point out to Clorissa that to earn we must comment on the responses that we receive. For a while all was ok and there were comments appearing. If once again there is a decrease in his earnings the fault lies there.
A discussion with no comments on the responses is not a discussion and will not earn for whoever started it

That's it Letran!
I think we said the same thing last time too. There is no point in starting discussions unless we comment on them. They are not discussions without comments by the original poster.
There is certainly NO point in whining about earnings going down if we are not doing what we are told do to here. Those who make discussions (as opposed to starting a topic and collecting responses) are never here complaining about their earnings - simple

hello Aunt D.
Hmmmm..it seems that she needs more motivation or at least hear another few rants from the oldies again. but seeing and knowing now that she worked stress-fully hard i doubt she would remember the things we said to her due to too much worked. you know when i went to this volunteer thing for a week i even didn't have the strength to post any sort of topics, response and comments. what's more when you work on two jobs.
maybe we should just say "hey, hold your horses, comment first on all your topic's responses and then when it's done then start doing topics again"...somethign like that.

Hi muscles4me,
Yes once we keep the good habits up is what counts. I too am more of a responder than a discussion starter too. You seem very active on Mylot judging by your post count. Some people can get a little annoyed when you comment on comments left on their discussion but thankfully this does not happen that often. I say the more the merrier, comments and responding back on discussions is what make a discussion come alive.

Hi clorissa, I have not actually been keeping a count on that since I have been very busy during the past month or two and have made very few posts . But I do not see much difference in the earnings here.I feel that it remains pretty much the same as before....all the best and happy mylotting

I have not found any change in the pay rate here on mylot. I get paid what I figure I would be getting.

Hello, Clorissa.:-) I beg to disagree with you on that.:-(
Lately, I am not as active as before in mylot because of my schedule and health. I only spend time here in my lot to respond to the comments from my discussions and leave one or two comments from my friends' posts. From my discussions, I only get to respond to at least 10 comments but my earning still reaches 26 cents. I tried responding to two comments and I earned 10 cents for that. I don't think it is a bad pay off...
I don't know how they compute it but it doesn't really matter. I am enjoying reading comments as well as I find it worthy responding to some posts.:-)
Have a great day.:-)

I don;t really know that the pay rate is going down. Because I am new at this site, but I do really think that i didn't get pay as much as before. It is probably due to the expansion of Mylot

That is what I thought. How possibility of that. Many people sign up with mylot, and mylot couldn't keep up with so much payment to all these people. That could likely the reason I sense the pay rate actually going down. I just feel the trend of it.

I've noticed that too. I'm not sure whether our stars affect our earnings, but I used to earn more when I had a 9 star than now when my star had dropped to 7 for no reason. As you said, when it comes to the earning, many people begin to stress the quality of our posts. But that's not the only reason. I believe most mylotters post quality discussions. So I guess our earnings might have something to do with the star. The biggers the number of our stars, the more we earn.

The star definately affects earnings and it is sad that you have proof of this.
In the FAQs we are told:
"The DRS (discussion Rating System) is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community"
The same post with a nine star will earn more than it would with a seven.

I haven't noticed but that's a scary thought that the economy is affecting even mylot.Still, mylot is fun and a nice place to spend my time.

I dnt know exactly what is the pay rate of mylot. So I cant give u any clue about it. I m yet to figure out their way of paying. They never disclose any earning at the time of posting, so that is the big disadvantagem but as long as they keep on paying that is well enough.

Hi there,
I have the same feeling as your. Actually since I signed up in Mylot, I've posted 100 comments, but my earning is just $51. It seems that two posts deserve 1 cent. I don't know why. But I do not mind as I come here for fun, not for money:)
If you wanna make money here, I think it's difficult. I think the best way to make money is to study hard and get into the company which can offer you a high salary, doesn't it?

I have been absent from mylot for quite a while and I am not really sure about the payout rates but it sure does pay accordingly to the respond and they never pay less... probably some of the content that was written on the response are not that related to the post that is why it is not not being paid

Hi clorissa: thanks for sharing with us your doubts but i have not experienced the same feeling you have mentioned. Actually i feel i have received what i deserve with my comments and that everything is as the same at it was when i started to post here on my lot. I'm sorry, i would like to help you but i just don't know what is happening to your account. First try to think if there is anything you can do to improve your messages and then try to contact mylot owners just to ask if there is anything wrong. Thanks for starting this discussion. Have a nice day.

I haven't noticed, but I don't keep good track of my earnings anymore. I'm here for fun and the money is just gravy. Last year I did keep an eye on it. Sometimes there is a lag in the money and your work. If you keep posting quality and quantity, you will earn something.

Hey clorissa! I hate to say this because I have been here for over a
year and a half, but you are right! It used to take me a month to
make payout and more! Now it takes me two months to make payout and
I am struggling! I think since the amount of the mylot population
has grown so much the pay scale has gone down! And it really is
ashame and not fair to those of us who have been here for so long!
I can do the same amount of mylotting and make less than half of
what I used to do in the same amount of time!

In my case, my friend. I don't feel it because as my regular number of response that I have made daily their is no changes. If I response and response only to the reply I got only a $.19 to $.25 but If I comments more including response I got $.39 to $.56 and I monitor it by myself. I wrote every activities I have done and the earnings that I got daily and I no changes that I have notice...

I have not noticed it going down. In fact I think it has gone up for me in recent times. I have changed the way that I go about my daily MyLot routine recently, so maybe that is why it has gone up for me!

Hello clorissa123!
Yes i think mylot pay rate is going down with 1-2% because there are more than 100 registered members a day..And population just increases with seconds..So maybe soon we will have to buy for refferals, that increase earnings, yes there are some now,but that you can buy them, because there will be more earning for the site :) But even if i get 10 dollars a month,or two months, ill never leave the site, because even if i leave it,month after population will be 10% bigger..So there will be more earnings and the site will create something to earn more..Sorry for my bad english..
Happy day - joro1best
