Have you experienced being good friends with the person you secretly like?

I agree with you, well they got the right moves to befriend you just like getting to know you, I mean the real you while being in a relationship that seems like both of you are hiding something to each other. I got the title of a brother, bestfriend and boyfriend.

i have experienced something like this. the guy is the smartest guy in our class so i consider him my competition and my classmates thought the same way. i liked him because he is cute and kind and plays guitar. then, i am not so sure how it happened but we started hanging out in school, we sit beside each other in class and always makes plans for the weekend. he became my guy best friend. and i realized that my feelings actually fade, and i am not really sure why. we are still good friends now.

Yes I agree. A lasting relationship is usaully cultivated by means of friendship. Being friends first will open a wider scope for acquintance, It will give both their time to look forward or backward as days will past by.

Let me adress this topic in two categories. First category is the serious side of things. Being friends with one another already provides the foundation of a good relationship. Usually the reason for befriending another is the fact that you like the person, either because they share a common understanding, likes or dislikes, and they want the same types of things like clothes etc. A true friend not only understands but has the initiative of concern, and the innate ability to know who really that person is. Such a friend, truly desires wahats best for his friend and would want to reach out and do whatever is necessary for the friend's success. Second category is the analytical view. I should say that the premise above is in contravention, since it is obvious that friends like each other that is why they acquaint themselves with each other. Seond contention is that the above topic does not conicide with the explanation of the author, since in the end the author and the so-called friend had a loving relationship so it means that the friend knows already that the author likes him/her. Third contention is that being good friends together already is a relationship, then there is no argument anymore to hide and kept a secret about liking him/her. To conclude, I still bow to the contention that to have a long lasting relationship it is better for both parties to be best friends and to the extent of being in-love with him/her still both should treat themselves as best friends so as it be a long lasting one.
