What is the best digital camera, its brand and features?

I want too buy a digicam this christmas as my gift.Pls help me decide what to buy and why should I buy the same.

I have a sony ericsson cybershot cam. The features are great. I recommend the brand.

I don't think you can buy the best digital camera becouse it's too expensive. There is no need to get a very good one. If you like photograph, you can buy a SLR. It depends on your hobby and budget. If you have enough money, you can choose Nikon or Canon. Otherwise, a Pentax maybe much better for you. My English is not very good and hope you can understand what I mean.
