well i think the one who will eat healthy food will live longer , no matter you are veges or non veges , there are many fruits and veges which are more good the non veges and even it is now proved that the veges are more healthy then non veges. But again i will say that healthy food and body keep you alive, all depends upon food , Eating KFC chicken is not healthy as they use many thing , eating hotel veg food is not healthy so it depends upon your choice food and where it is cooked.

I think veggies will live longer on the long run! The diseases diabetes, high blood pressure, sugar, heart diseases in general are all mostly seen in non veg eating people! So in my opinion those that eat vegetables only live a little longer than those that dont eat at all!

I think a vegetarian will live longer. This is provided she/ he eats the full range of vegetarian foods available and is not deficient in any essential vitamins or minerals. That includes protein. Vegetarians need to get their protein from non meat sources and must make sure they are getting enough.
There is a lot of evidence that vegetarians have a stronger immune system, and get far less cancer.
I am not a vegetarian, but my 16 year old daughter is.

vegetarians have an extended life expectancy but pretty negligible say 2-3 years. what i feel is... life is one time... lets enjoy it at least eat before we die... eat what ever we like and die like a king...

Vegetarians for the most part will live longer then a carnivore. I stopped eating beef a year in half ago and my body feels so much better. I only eat chicken and turkey. I believe red meat is really not good for you at all. Digesting meat takes a toll on the body and that is one of the reasons vegetarians live longer. When you eat more veggies and fruits they are so much better for your mind and body. I try and eat at least two to three pieces each of fruit and veggies each and everyday.

Me too that's great to hear. I love hearing about that because I have been a vegetarian for nearly 20 years and I love being vegetarian!

Well, if fish is also meat, than I think Carnivore will live longer than vegetarian, because our organism needs some substances/proteins, that we can't find in any fruit. Like iron for example, as I know no fruit contains iron in it. Also fish is very healthy and it decrease the risk of heart attack with 20 to 40%. SO you decide, who will live longer.

I think the answer here depends on what exactly the person is eating. If they eat fish and poultry fed organically than I think it might not hurt them much. But even the carnivores are eating way to much meat. If a person were to eat exactly as prescribed for their personal body type then they will live to their personal longest potential.

Well I don't think it's so much in terms of who will live longer between vegetarians and carnivores, but whose diet is healthier? Some vegetarians eat nothing but junk while some meat-eaters eat very sensibly.
Also, are there other health risks present, such as diabetes or cancer or something else that may run in the family? Does the person exercise or just sit around and do nothing?
I think there is much more to the equation aside from whether or not someone abstains from meat.
If a vegetarian eats a healthy diet full or fiber, fruits, vegetables, and low in fats and sodium compared to a carnivore who eats fatty foods and whatnot, I would put money on the vegetarian.

hello mkings ,
I don't thing eather one will out live the other, it is not what you eat, it is how you live your life. I had a friend that had cancer , she was a vegetable, what she ate didn't kill her. see what I mean. live a good clean life and you will life a long time. have a nice day

I think both can have equally long life expectancies depending on how much fats they eat. Just because vegeterians eat more vegevtables doesn't mean they eat less butter or sweets than meat-eaters, and just because meat-eaters eat meat doesn't mean they all eat a lot of fatty red meats.
