Have You Ever Thought Of Buying A Universal Remote Control?

Personally, I hate remote control devices. We have them for everything, don't we? From controlling our televisions, VCRs (yes, we still have one lol), DVD players, hi-fi units. They are everywhere. From a clutter-free perspective I find the idea of having a Universal Remote Control very appealing...but do they work? I also find they are rather expensive too.

Hi
Yes my tech freak husband bought one.But he couldn't get his head around to make it work.He struggled with the programming ,was on endless calls to customer service but nothing could be done,So he went back to return it,
We are back to the same clutter of having remotes everywhere

To be honest, that's what is putting us off buying one. Reviews everywhere tell you how simple they are to operate and that they eliminate the need for lots of remote controls..but we ain't paying around 70 quid for something that may not work in the end. So sorry it hasn't worked for you. I think you're supposed to key in codes for particular appliances but, with your "tech freak husband" as you call him, I should imagine he knew all this already.

I have universal remote controls and they work fine for me. It depends on how well you handle them..

Have you not got one remote for everything then? I suppose the idea is to have, say 2 remote controls as opposed to 6.

NO,i've ever seen a movie named the remote control of life,a person got a remote control of life,so he can control everything he want to happen and don't want to happen,he choose only what he want to experience, but when he become old,he fount that he really not happy for he had missed much a normal should experience, then he found that it was just a dream, from then on,he know what he should do,and enjoy all the things life give him,so i will accept all the things life give me,happiness and unhappiness, you can go to have a look at that movie, have a good day!

I think you misunderstood the question but that's fine, I realise what you are trying to say and, yes, if I could control everything around me then I would zap all the negative politicians and just leave the positive ones...which doesn't leave many left but it would be a start. :-0
