i'm not really a bookwormish kind of gal, well not recently that is...now, oh, i just find reading very fascinating. when you're at it, when you go over the lines, it's like the ideas on your mind and your imagination is racing against each other, more like battling with one another to form a picturesque scene. and when that scene plays on your mind like a movie while capturing the very essence of every word you're reading, then that is one glorious achievement. for the book has achieved its goal of catching your attention, most especially stir up your emotions. and it is so gripping when your own insights suddenly came in to raise an arguments, just so you'll realized afterwards that your rebuttal made sense and it would have been so interesting if you could pose it as an inquiry to the maker. how very amusing indeed to think how such masterpieces came to be, how their maker's brain works exceptionally well, how are they weaved with such perfection. this really amazes me, as i engage myself in a book, my entire being joins in the whole picture captivated enthralled, and at the same time keeps my neurons working, stimulated and energized to its full extent, working double time that is if i wanted to really grasp every strands of idea my senses is having as i open the cover, intently skimming each line, carefully not missing a single point, flipping one page to the other until i reach the end of the line. not regretting i picked it up to consume everything it has to offer. sweet, just sweet. every book i came across with never left me with a single dissappointment instead giving me a full satisfaction that increases my savings in this limited bank of knowledge of mine. and always left me smiling and elated and wanting to read more, endlessly, i'm hoping.
now i'm a certified book addict, how about you...:) happy reading mylotters!

Maybe you are a bookworm kind of gal. Or a philosophical thinker who likes getting wrapped up in ideas. I would definitely call myself a bookworm. I read as much as I can and I never go a day without reading a book. I read 2 or 3 books a week. I like fantasy mostly, but sometimes I'll read other stuff. I see reading as an escape to another reality. I like getting wrapped up in a new story.

Yup i am now and a certified one. :) i'm loving it, being a bookworm, so addictive. Philosophical thinker, i don't know about that, but i guess when your definition of it is one who wants to learn so much and interested in knowing stuffs and widening ones knowledge, then maybe i am too. when you know so many ideas you can get along with so many people, you could be able to understand them, and that is a good thing, right? i am happy you're a bookworm too. so you like fantasy, have you read the work of Jeffrey Archer, my friends told me his story is great. he's the next one on my list. hope you could try his masterpieces as well. yeah definitely getting wrapped in another world is very engaging especially when reality is stepping on you too much. when you just want to find ways to escape, temporarily that is, so you'll not lose your sanity... and when you're done reading, you'll find it bearable facing reality once again. keep on reading mate. and thanks. :)

Well, I guess I see learning new ideas and opening your mind to new knowledge as sort of philosophical. Philosophy is sort of about learning new ideas and coming up with new theories. No, I haven't read the work of Jeffery Archer. I'm always looking for new books, so I'll check him out one day.

Reading a rollercoaster for me because sometimes I really enjoy reading because I get perplexed and engaged with the story in front of me but sometimes I feel like the world does that enough to me that I don't need it again. I will always love to read but the time I spend doing it is in direct correlation with my feelings. I really like your prose when it comes to describing reading and I wish you great readings.

Yeah you're right about that, indeed a rollercoaster... breathtaking most of the time actually. But don't you think it's really interesting that we can connect our own experiences to some of the books we're reading. sometimes, so unexpected and very striking that it triggers our tear ducts to produce drops from our eyes. most often than not i get inspiration from my books, they really helped me live my life the proper way. :) thanks again, i'll keep on reading and i hope you will too.
