Hi guys, do u have overheating problemas with ur laptop?
I have toshiba p300d and it keeps on overheating even on low cpu usage aplications.
I tried to fix it myself my cleaning passive cooler but i just lost my warranty with that, problem remained..

Hello ajareselde! I think you better go to an expert to check your laptop before its too late. I have a the same problem with my NEC but I don't have money to let it check by an expert. It still works now but when it gets overheated it shutdown often. The only solution I did is create my own laptop cooler (an exhaust type) using an old video card fan or power supply fan. It works a little but when the weather is hot its hard to use my laptop. Anyway, try to elevate your laptop when you put it on a table so the heat will disperse a little.
I hope I can help you.

My laptop never overheats, it's great.
Yours may be overheating because of what it's resting on. If you've got it resting on something spongy or fabric it could be blocking the fan because the fabric pushes up into the ventilation holes. If you've got it on something rigid like a desk it shouldn't be doing that as the little pads which stop it from scratching should be suspending it slightly above the ground, allowing for airflow.

Did you try the usb fan that will not cost much than 300 INR?I think that will be helpful for a laptop like your which gets more heat than normal.By the way, didn't you call on the service center about this problem.I think they would have fixed this without any charge as warranty period would be there. Why did you open all by yourself?

There's a product that can help for cooling. Usually placed under the laptop and connect to an USB port for power. My friends used that and it helps.
