In United States believe in astrology, rebirth etcetera supernatural matters are increasing among some of the adult Christians. Many adult Americans claimed they saw ghosts in their own eyes. PIU forum in it's study on religion and livelihood of common people found that surprisingly a good number of Americans claim they saw ghosts or they believe 'New Age' revolution and supernatural aspects of the religions of the East. Some of them claim that they are followers of Catholic or Evangelic Christianity. In recently published results of the survey reveals that for every ten Americans three claim they got touches of dead persons. Eighteen percent Americans think they saw ghosts or feel the presence of ghosts.
Hey my Americans friends, do you agree with the survey or believer of Ghosts?

Hi bhanusb, I am not American, but I dont really believe in ghosts! There are too many horror movies shown at wrong ages to influence mind. :( Funny that Indian ghosts should wear white sarees in modern way, rather than ancient way. From where do they get those tailors? LOL. But coming to the American ghosts, I think the first question should be, from where do these ghosts get their clothes? Haunted homes! Well, then lots of places in Germany should be haunted. After all, so many jews suffered there. We may be dying and passing thru some time barrier in some spirit form, but remaining back is impossible! Rebirth, of course, it is there! For everything. We are all made of chemicals, we disintegrate, and are included in another life form. That is rebirth. Interpretations! Having said all that would I be willing to stay in a haunted house to prove it is not? No. Why? Because once I know a place is haunted, my mind will be looking for something to prove that right. And my imagination may play havoc with me. So it would be my imagination more than anything that I would be scared of.

Lucky vandana, I have also no believe in ghosts. But like to watch horror movies. Probably Indian ghosts are modern. So Indian film makers present women ghosts with sarees. The present jews are doing the same massacre in Israel as their predecessors suffered in Germany. They have become ghosts of their ancestors.

I think with each harm or hurt that we do to others, we modify their chemical composition, and genes. So the genes of the jews may have undergone some modifications, which is why they become suspicious of everything, and feel like cornered cat all the time. Any massacre is bad, whether it is the one that Germans did, or that which Polpot did, or even the Nanking, or Rwandan, or Serbian. Gosh, can't believe, we humans can become so bad. :(

I'm not American, but I definitely believe in ghosts.
I have to say, I do find it rather wierd when you get Christian Mediums and the like, as it seems that if you have first hand experience of ghosts, doesn't that basically prove to you that what the bible says happens doesn't actually happen?
as I'm not a Christian, I don't find my experience of ghosts conflicts with my religion, but if you experience things that your religion says doesn't happen, don't you believe one or the other, rather than try and believe both?

I'm also not an American nor a Christian. I don't know whether in Bible there is any description of ghosts. I think in Christianity there is description about soul and evil spirit. If you say evil spirit is ghost then it's OK. I don't believe in ghost or any supernatural object. I don't follow all the teachings of my religion.

There are all sorts of phantom feeling that we feel--particularly as we are about to enter sleep mode. But the most likely situation are my girlfriend's often cold hands.
Incidentally, I always feel like my cell phone is vibrating in my pocket--often times even when I am not carrying it!

as the topic of discussion mentioned, i think, not seeing doesn't mean things are not there, sometimes things actually turn out to be more then just what our eyes can see or science could explain.
Yes, i do believe of its existnece, but i also believe if you don't try to disturb them they wil not come and and cause any distress to you.

I think there is probably something to the whole ghost thing. I dont think that many people would be having similar experiences. Coast to Coast AM also did a lot to convince me that some paranormal things may have some truth to them.

Ghosts etc have been a popular subject for Americans from the beginning and I believe just the explosion of information due to the Internet and TV have cause more attention to this subject. Our minds are wonderful things and the power of thoughts is now being studied all over the world. What an exciting time to be alive.
