Pasta on RED or WHITE sauce?

hi etongong! i just love pasta... period. -lol- kidding aside, i love both the red and white sauce. at home, the kids' favorite is the spaghetti with red meaty sauce... hands down. it's a bestseller for my nephews and nieces especially on family gatherings and occasions we host at home. but for a few of us kids at heart, who also like the white sauce, i usually cook carbonarra as a separate dish. but everyone gets to enjoy pasta in both the red and white sauce. white sauce is a nice break from the usual red spaghetti. it has less meat, less ingredients and much simpler to cook. aside from spaghetti and carbonarra, my favorites include spaghetti arabica, baked macaroni and lasagna. yum yum!!!

I'm going to have to go with red. Tastier, so much more you can do with a tomato sauce.

I don't think I could eat pasta afredo with red sauce, some pastas are meant to be with white sauce, not like mexican menudo over here they ask you do you want it red or white?

I love pasta too but tend to stay away from white sauce because it is usually too high in calories and fat. I stick with red sauces but my favorite way to eat it is with a little olive oil on it and some crushed red pepper.

I mostly like the red sauce because it is more tastier, and it is perfect in any dish or rice alone.

Well I am not sure about the white sauce and really love the color of the red one as it looks more good. But now that you have mentioned I would try the white as well. Could younplease eplain what is the taste of the white sauce, is it like the red one or different. I want me pasta to be hot, spicy and too tasty to be eaten. Do yu like the spicy one as well. There is one in a hotel where I go foten with my colleagues and they serve u pasta with beef and its really good and the dish is so full that two people can eat at one time.

I mostly like white sauces, cheese, or just butter. I am not a big fan of tomato sauces because I prefer fresh tomatoes than most types of cooked tomatoes.

Hi, etongong! I like either one. For my spaghetti, I like red paste. And for the pasta that has Alfredo, sauce, I would like to have white sauce. It is very creamy and yummy! The fettucino pasta works great with white sauce too.

I love both sauces.I prefer white sauce most of the time.I love red sauce when it is seafood pasta.a seafood pasta with red sauce,olives,shrimps,squid,and lots of cheese sounds yummy.with pasta with white sauce,I love it with chicken strips.

I'm sorry to differ, but I like red sauce I just don't like the taste of white sauce, while I love the taste of the red one

I like white sauce on carbonara. I also like mixing white sauce and tomato sauce 'coz it's creamier that way. I don't have anything against red sauce 'coz I love spaghetti. But I don't like the Italian style red sauce which is kinda sour. I prefer the sweet and spicy type. In addition, I also love pesto sauce 'coz it's not only delicious, it's also healthy.
