Maybe Mylot should have a help button at the top of the screen?

I'm new to mylot and I'm finding it hard to work things out. When I signed up I was just dumped into this complicated interface and I have been working things out by trial and error mostly. Wouldn't it be good to have a help button at the top of the screen that takes you to a menu with FAQ's and explanations of the interface and other things? I think that would be really helpful!

Welcome to myLot! It is complicated atthe beginning but there is the help that you are looking for. It is in the tab 'myLot' here: : http://www.mylot.com/o/mylot.aspx

Thanks so much! I knew there had to be help somewhere! Really tho, don't you think this tab should just be labelled Help? To be honest I assumed the myLot tab would just take me to my profile! If it was labelled Help it would be so much clearer that the help was there. It feels a bit shoved out of the way there next to "quizzes"! What do you think?

When I first joined that tab was more central but then over the months mote tabs have been added and it has been pushed aside. Calling it 'help' might imply that there is someone who will answer to queries. If you need tips and advice from other users then I also suggest that you check the link I will leave here because every day there are many queries being answered there in discussions by Lotters who have been here a long while and 'know the ropes'. Thank you for the BR but we are supposed to wait at least a week before awarding it Something else you learnt without having to find it : http://www.mylot.com/w/lists/7_85090/default.aspx

Yes the best response thing annoyed me because I selected it because I felt yours was clearly the best response as you had shown me where the help was. Yes someone else could still post and tell me where the help was but then that might actually start becoming annoying. I was also annoyed that it then said something like dissusion resolved or something which I found offensive as I had only selected the best response. In fact I don't even feel that all discussions have to be "resolved", even if this one has been partly. I guess a better response could be if someone from myLot came here and posted they are going to change the myLot tab to say help and to offer me a job in their user interface design division, however I suspect that won't happen. ;)
