I got this small discusion on mylot about DREAMS. When i ran through my mind thinking about when was the last dream i had, trust me i do not remember. Just wanted to share may be someone can give me the reason for this. As dreams are not in our control so how is it that some of us dream daily & Why is it that i dont get dreams. Am i OK or can someone give me a hint of how to deal with this. I do get some - I dont know how to say this. SOmetimes i do thing which i feel i have done before. Or i go to new place for first time & i feel i have been there before (Actually i havent). Whats this called as. How can i know the place when i have never been there - Stange i dont know if i am able to make you understand. Do you dream, or NO - let me know Coz i dont & i am searching the reason for this.. Bye

you are similar to my husband. he too doesn't have dreams frequently. in fact, he has them rarely. whereas, i have them often, in fact, more or less, daily. and i usually tend to remember most of them while my husband doesn't. i too don't really know the exact reason why some people have many dreams while some don't have at all. but i have read them everyone does dream. it's just that some people can't remember their dreams at all. maybe you could find out on the internet what you wish to know. for me, i dream lots and many are really nice while some makes me wish i didn't have them at all. as for what you are talking about, the feeling of having been there before when you actually haven't, that known as deja vu. that's happened to me a number of times too. i feel as if i've done this before or someone has said this before but truth is i haven't done it at all. it's all a dream that i later deduce. i read somewhere that this happens because our sub consious mind, when we are sleeping, can actually put things that happened during the day together more than our consious mind when we are awake. thus, when they put things together, they deduce that this might happen or something and we dream that. and that dream does happen later on in life. it's a little confusing i know but that is what i came to understand more or less. hope this little information helps out a little.

I had a roomate who can't recall a signal dream she ever had. I however have vivid dreams every night that I practially always remember. Also the feeling of having done something or been somewhere before is known as "deja vu". It is really common and I have had it before. Maybe you have it more often because you can't remember your dreams. The psyche is still such a mystery.

Hi there..I understand your situation but I feel that there's nothing that you need to be worried about though. I know that it's rather weird not to have any or perhaps you might have forgotten about it. Don't worry too much, yeah. Just try to get some rest and sleep well.

Dreams are something hard to understand or accept. it is difficult to say how the mind accepts a dream. Some people dream nore than others. Some may not dream at all. Some dreams are easily remembered. Some never remenber their dreams when they awake. I don't believe that stress is a dream factor. Dreams will come to us when they will.

From what I learned in Psychology, people dream upto more than 10 dreams per sleep but they just don't remember all of them. Sometimes, people also think that their dream is weird because it lacks flow (a dream sometimes starts in a place and ends in another one) when in fact, they actually remember bits and pieces of the many dreams they had and think that they are all interconnected when it's not actually the case. Now as to whether it is possible for people not to have dreams, I think it is more of them not remembering anything. I believe the brain never stops thinking and dreaming and I think it just depends on the person if he or she will remember them when they wake up. That's just my opinion. :D

Don't be too upset, in fact you are dreaming, but maybe you are just the type of person who seems not to remember his/her dreams. It is normal and do not worry about that, no people in this world who do not dream, you have a brain and a mind, you have previous experiences and goals in life and those things makes a human dream of something, unconsciously. Dreams are processed by our subconscious mind, dreams that are being processed are the previous scenario that you have been with, like past experiences even very old experiences or even a tv series you have watched, favorite characters and etc. anything that is being experienced, seen and encountered by you will be processed by your subconscious mind. Some people do not remember their dreams as much as you do and it is really ok if you will not remember your dreams. I hope this helps, have a great day.

In my case, I dream very often, almost every night I think. I actually don't like dreaming, so I guess you are lucky for that. I am not really sure if not dreaming is abnormal but I really didn't see anything wrong with that. There might be some reasons for that which can hardly be explain.

I dream like everyday, sometimes when I am sleeping I catch myself talking out loud but I am dreaming, lol. its quite funny. my dreams are so vivid as if I am there. sometimes I can control certain things and when I am trying to do certain things, like walk in my dreams feeling like I can't walk my legs feel heavy and I can't lift them up. its very weird in deed.

Many people wake up after a dream, but they don't remember them. Only parts of the dream is remembered. It is a scientific fact that dreams cannot be completly remembered. If this helped than give me a thumbs up!

My understanding is that dreams are only remembered if you are dreaming or just finished immediately before waking up. If you were actually not dreaming it would feel as if you never went to sleep.

It's normal to go through long periods of time where you won't dream or don't remember your dreams. It may be that you are still dreaming but that you don't remember your dreams when you wake up. That's actually a pretty good sign. It probably means you're getting full and deep cycles of sleep. As for feeling like you've been somewhere before... that feelings is called Deja Vu. It's pretty common, but no one knows the reason for it though it might have something to do with dreams.

At night I don't dream, too. Very, very seldom. When I fall asleep during the day or afternoon, that is when I dream. I notice that while I sleep, I can hear the radio that is turned on, and I begin to dream or have visions related to what I am hearing from the radio. As far as I remember, I dream when I am oversleeping that is why it occurs during the day. Your experience is called dejavou. It's interesting but can't explain how it comes about. It happened to me once before, when I saw a place that looked familiar although I've been there only once. As Christian, we don't believe in having a past life.

If you don't dream, it really means that you are tired and you enjoyed your sleep. In my case, I feel better when you woke up without having a dream :D

Dont worry we are on the same boat. I myself dont get dreams often unlike other people do. And sometimes when I dream its about horror events. I also dont know if its normal for a person to have less dream or not having dreams at all. Dejavu happens normaly to person, having the feeling of events that you felt happened before.
