Please, someone make it stop!
I feel like I am living in a rainforest or something. This is like monsoon season! It rained so much three days ago that people had to abandon their cars in the streets and wade through almost knee deep water to get home. Some parked on medians
and sidewalks to try and avoid having flooded vehicles. It slacked up a bit the next day and started up again yesterday with more heavy downpours that got worse as the evening progressed. Today we are seeing some similar rain even though there is no where for it to go and everything is already so saturated and damp from the humidity.
If this keeps up I am going to need a boat to get to work this afternoon!

It has been humid here for the past two days to the point that it is so foggy that you cannot see in the mornings. It was really hot and then, as soon as the fog dissipated it actually got cooler. What's up with this crazy weather? Hope you have a motor boat so you don't have to row to work. Who knows? Maybe work will be canceled due to flooding.

That really sucks! I don't live too close to a river. I think it is a couple of miles. I hate when there is fog because you never know if the cars are going slow without lights on or speeding without lights on. I don't mind driving in it as long as I know no one else is. LOL Benefit of small town. LOL

I guess no one would mind driving in it as long as no one else was! You are hilarious!

I sent a text message to the enrichment coordinator and despite the flooding and the fact they were trying to dismiss early yesterday so the buses could get the kids home before it got too bad there was still school today and the program is supposed to happen this afternoon.
So far the flooding isn't as bad here as in the other parishes but some people still have to drive through flood areas to get to work! If I get anywhere need it I am turning right back around. When your brakes get wet it is harder to stop your car and lets not talk about visibility.
I live less than two blocks from the river. When there is fog it is always worse near water. You should have seen the French Quarter yesterday. I could only see about a block in front of me. The fog was higher as I moved away from the river but Saturday morning when I drove to the festival site it was around the tops of the buildings downtown. I am talking twenty something stories and up.
I hate this kind of weather and I really hate having to go out in it. People are not careful and you really take a risk. Not to mention all the potholes and craters we have in the streets where they have been digging up broken water mains and laying new gas pipes all other kinds of post K crap.

Hi Canellita,
There you are my dear friend. is this the one you're referring to in one of our discussions where you mentioned about praying to put on hold rains...so you have your share of flood too? we always experience that here in the philippines. there are certain areas that are prone for floods even with lights rains. i hope weather will get better there as christmas is fast approaching so that you will have a great celebration without the rain! i will continue praying for you and your weather my friend!

Well, the weather is clear for now but they are talking about rain by the time Christmas comes around. I'll be indoors so I won't mind. If it gets cold enough though we may get a little snow mised in with that rain.

It was cold! I spent the day indoors with my honey watching videos in blissful peace and quiet.
Sounds (seems) like you had a good day!

I did clear up that day though it came back again. It's nice to see the sun today for a change. The break is supposed to last a couple days this time.

Wow. I live in Texas and we haven't had rain for weeks. A little bit of fog though. I hope it stops raining so you can have time to dry off. I actually really love rain, but I know that other people get pretty tired of it after a few weeks. And when it starts to flood, then it's time for a break.

If I could I'd get out big blowers and send it your way! I hear it's been really dry in California as well.

If I could I would send the rain to you. It is clear today and chilly and should be hte same for tomorrow. Fortunately I am on holiday break at school so I won't have to go back out in the rain next week when it returns. I hope the dry weather comes to an end soon and that you get the much needed rain!

long time not rain here already and i do like rainny days than the cloudy days.the rain make the world more clean in my opinion. tought it also can make inconvenince to our daily life like work and sport outdoor but i still like the rainny days.that's because here never rain that heavy like we need to get a boat to go outside..good luck.

If it would just rain a little and be done I could live with it. It's the heavy rain that won't seem to stop that gets to me. Those are the days when you do not want to go out.

Talk about rains!
I've studied in an engineering college in the southern part of India and there it used to rain 9 months. Initially I liked it but finally you start getting sick of it. I just hope your situation improves. However, as long as it is there you got to enjoy it..

I don't think I could stand it if we had rain for nine months. We are used to afternoon summer showers wich are not heavy and do not last long, but hte weather has been shifting over the years and when it rains heavy and continuously it becomes dangerous.

Oh no! I suppose the people here can be thankful the flooding was only knee deep. The worst of it was in other parishes and not here in the city. I don't know how the people along the coast can deal with it because the roads always flood down there.

My neices and nephews love to play in it as many children do but to us grownups it is often inconvenient when you have to dress professionally and go out to work or when you have to drive in it.

I live in the Southern part of the US. The "experts" say the weatehr is the result of el nino. I guess a few weeks of heavy rain is better than having to flee hurricanes.

To have much rain for a period is really painful. I can imagine how depressed if you go to work by boat on the land. Rain falls here too, I don't feel like rain when I go to work because I walk to work.It will get my clothes wet and i will feel so uncomfortable. However i do like rain on weekend,it feels so good when you have a tea aside window, watching it,feeling it. Very nice and enjoyable~~~~ I am ambivalent, right?~~
Anyway, I hope there is good weather in the coming days where you live.

Fortunately I work at a school so if there was ever enough rain that I would need a boat to get to work the school would be closed as would many if not all businesses as people would not be able to get around, the shops would be flooded and most likely people would lose electricity.

The weather is clear today and a little cold so I am happy for that. It will be the same tomorrow and next week if it returns I won't have to go out because my school is closed for the holidays. I don't return to work until January.

I wish I could stop the rain for you! From last week or so the weather is going crazy almost all over through the country. I totally understand your situation.
We got blizzard like situation, and from that feet of snow; over that ice rain. Everything is going crazy, driving is horrible. I hate this kind of weather.
Wish we could do something to get weather convenient for us. May be just go green is the hopeful thing to go for.

Geez! I thought it was bad here! At least the snow doesn't flood into your house or car. Would hate to have to get out and shovel it! I do NOT like to be cold.

Wow I know that the mon soon season can be serious but thats really something .I guess tehre is nothing that anyone can do but try to keep watch and ensure taht you have an emergency plan in case your home gets flooded out.Normally we have had rain for about a week but it was intermittent ,never continous and teh flooding was bad but manageable only extreme in some locations
