News paper reading or Mylotting....

hi abhai, absolutely correct, mylotting is better than anything else, actually i don't have the habbit paper reading, when i came to mylot, i have learned many things through mylot itself. thankyou to mylot, nice topic my friend, have a nice day.

In mylot we do not get news but discussions on different topics which are definitely interesting. I do read my newspaper and also watch the news on the numerous news channels on TV.

Shall I tell you one thing? Half of the days I never read news paper at all. My mind will always be thinking about mylot as to what discussion to post, today we must respond to this friend's discussion, that friend's discussion etc.

hi abhaijith, I feel that both are not to be compared at all. After reading your post i came to know that mylot has newspaper section and we can earn on commenting on articles. For me mylot is more interesting due to only one reason-people atleast one respond to your discussion and you can also respond to articles or discussiona which are interesting. You will get a chance to give your opinion on mylot though the problems in the discussions may not be solved. This chance to give opinion can not be done through newspaper and even if you post your respond on specific article to editor he may or may not respond. Though the discussion are repeated and sometimes really boring we can get some answers or ideas on our problems which we ask though discussions.For me newspaper is just information sharing system and mylot is much more than that....Thanks for giving me chance to say this...

So often nowadays the newspapers here are filled with gossip and opinions and not any real information that is not biased one way or the other depending on which side the paper sits. I haven't bought a newspaper in years except sometimes a local one when I was searching for a job. Did you know that there is a news section here on MyLot? Hi, abhaijith. I would rather come to myLot or Yahoo news for my news information. I am on the internet all day and I am able to see the news without expecting it. So, it is like watching the news on T.V too. I used to read the newspaper many years ago, but since I have been on the Internet more, I feel that there is no need for me to read the newspaper. Here at myLot, we can find many pieces of the latest news to discuss.

I think the newspaper has been so revolutionized that we no longer need to pay the 1.00 per day [1.75 on sunday]. We can just log on to the local news website and get all of the information without ever leaving the house or paying a cent. We can have live news feeds streamed to websites, iphones, cable sets and more. I would have to say mylotting is way better. The discussions alone set it over the top, but getting paid, its a no contest!

Are you serious Abhaijith? Mylotting any day! What is there in the newspapers anyway? Just the same old bickerings of politicians. I am fed up. :( I enjoy coming here. This is like a family. :)

I haven't really thought of comparing mylot to newspaper. I see mylot as a way to connect to the world while learning and helping and also getting paid rather than just an ordinary newspaper where you can see updates on news locally and internationally that doesn't provide opinions of people with first hand experience of things.

Hi! I think we can't compare these two things, because they are too different from each other. And it also depends on the newspaper you are going to read. If it is a sport newspaper, I prefer posting in mylot, because I don't love watching or reading sport news, it is too boring for. If it is a newspaper from the gutter press, I also prefer spending my time here on mylot, but if it is a normal newspaper about the news from your country and all over the world, I think I will read the newspaper, because we can't compare these two things. In mylot I think you can't read some news from the country, where you live, because here, the people posting discussions about their problems, friends, life and so on, but there are less news( If there are some ones) about the economic situation or something about the government of your country. That's why I think we can't and we should not compare these two things!

Yes, it is better than news paper reading, we can know the latest important news in the world and we can communicate with the different country people, we share the happiness and sorrow, and we know well about some situation. Or we discuss with someting, even we fire for each viewpoint. We benefit more in mylot. Now, it is a daily task for me. I did not read the news paper for a long time.

I prefer MyLotting over reading newspaper. The reason is, i live in a very remote place up here in the mountains of the Philippines. But I have internet connection through wireless internet. Newspapers do not reach this place in time. They are like snail mails from post office. I prefer to update myself of what's happening around the world through the Internet.

yeah the newspaper is for people who don't have the time to get on the PC or watch the morning news. some people ride the subways and can't use a laptop in the subway, at least I wouldn't think. I'd rather be on my lot at the moment and at the same time I have my TV to my right. so I guess I get a little of both at the same time. I don't like reading so much, but I don't mind reading in my lot. kind of weird how that turns out. lol
