How closely do you monitor what your children watch on TV?

Do you use the parental control options...or do you let them watch whatever you watch? We have always monitored what out kids have seen..a couple were more mature and able to handle some content better than the other two who were more senstive and needed to avoid shows that were upsetting to them..so we had different sets of rules for them them...

They don't watch tv unless I turn it on for them, which has not been often. I don't encourage television as a part of their day.

My son really only watches cartoon, but I try to monitor what I have on the TV when he is in the room. Since my exhusband and I are divorced I know that he sees things over there that I don't approve of (mainly violence). I just make sure he isn't watching something PG-13 or R or anything that I think will be too much for him to handle.
