Why do people do the things they do

I was on a bus today. It was crowded with everyone at the front.One girl tried to get off the bus with a stroller and baby. No one would step off the bus to let her off. The ones outside tried to get in and disregard she was trying to get out. One lady says that people are not that cortious anymore. The joke is she was one of them whas in the lady's way. When you get on a bus where do you stand until its your turn to get off. Happy lotting.
