Win 7 operation system is the newest os from microsoft.I installed it when it was beta version but i uninstalled it after two days becasue it was poor in complatibilty. But now the retail version has come out.I have updated my computer to win 7 OS.It looks so cool and run quickly. Its compatibility problems have been almost resolved.I love this OS----xp's speed but vista's apperance and security.
I use win 7 and xp two OS in my computer. Most times I use win7 . I would use xp only when i want to run my experiment soft which couldn't open in win7.
What about you?Do you know windows 7 OS?Have you ever used it?

I have responded to a similar discussion about a week ago. My response was that I'm gonna stick with my vista. But after a few days, I was able to see how windows 7 operates from another computer owned by a friend. After making a comparison, I changed my mind. In fact right now, I am already using Windows 7! It is definitely great. It works similar with vista but requires lesser memory. It is also very fast and I was completely amazed by the sound quality and graphics.... I love it!

Yes, I say amen to that. I was contented with vista as it came with the laptop that my sister gifted me last year. But then, in June this year, it crashed. I noticed that start up was so slow, I can do other things while waiting for it to open. The technician suggested that I try Windows 7 which I did. I find it very fast compared to vista and I am amazed by the graphics and its quality. I am still using the beta version though.

wow, nice to reply your discussion. Most of people will be interested in the new thing but the new object are not necessarily all good. friends around me all use the xp OS and give it a high mark,i think that i will take a long time for win7 to gain a large share of the market instead of xp. do you think?

Hi Logan,
Windows 7 is pretty much similar to XP. Moreover, it does not take a lot of time to get hold of the market as such. All the laptops and most branded PCs are coming with Windows 7 pre installed. So, in no time everybody will be using it on their computers or laptops.
In case the users do not like it, they will change back to some other OS and then we will get to know which OS has the largest share of the market.

The current computer I'm using has Window's Vista but my new laptop which should be here later today is going to have Window's 7, I heard it's exactly the same thing as Vista, talk about a waste of money for them to come out with it. If I had a choice I'd probably stick to using Window's XP, whenever I used it in the past I never had a problem with it or anything, although I haven't had any issues with Vista either.
I've heard most people state that they prefer Window's XP, maybe there wasn't as many problems with it as there has been with Vista or with 7 so far, I don't know for sure but most people tell me they prefer XP as an OS on their computer or a computer they use.

The birth, development and maturity of a new thing needs for a long orocess. Our opinions on the choice of OS would change as time goes on.When win xp came out some people sticked to win 98.Win 7 can do sth which couldn't be well done on xp whlie win7 can do all of what xp can do.

When Vista came out people said it was a better than XP. We all know how that turned out. People who stuck with XP were laughing.
Many people still believe that XP is the popular OS that microsoft has developed. Lets wait and see how things turn out.

My current OS is Vista and I am happy with it. As for Win 7, may wait till Win 7 SP1 is out in the market then I will consider buying because it is much more stable than just fresh from the oven.

Haha, you are a prudent person.I love to use new things such as new OS.Of course win7 will be more and more stable as time goes on.But sometimes the feel of trying a new os before it's perfect is fine. Before win7 beta came out i had heard lots news about it.My curiousity made that i could not wait to install it immediately after they beta version came out.Best wishes for you.Thank you for your comment.

My operating system is still Windows XP. I am satisfied with it. I know Windows 7 has released. But since I think Windows XP is fine with me, so I don't want to update it to the latest operating system. I hate to reinstall everything again. Besides, I am afraid some software or hardware may not match Windows 7 yet.
I love China

We can get it nearly free here, but I don't like to install one because the poor compatibility problem as you say,and I love XP,the basic functions of WIN7 is nearly the same as XP,Why bother to change a system when it does little more good to you?Microsoft is always publishing new versions but the functions of the system are nearly the same, don't they have some other new innovations but beautification?

There are some new functions not only beautification in win7 through maybe we don't need them.I wolud choose the beautiful os if the oeration systems have same functions.Install win7 just need half an hour and installation process is so intelligent. You can install it in your leisure time.It is once and for all.
If you have the chance to experience new things why not to have a try?GOOD LUCK IN EVERYTHING.

Have you tried to install win7 on your computer?Win7's hardware requirements are very low.Only when you want to open areo effect you should get a good graphics card.
Althrough win7 can be installed on old hardware,it would be slow when you run it.The price of hardware now is cheaper and cheaper day by day so you can pay little money on updating your hardware. Then you colud use win7 freely.
Best wishes for you.

I use XP and never think about another version. I am happy with my current OS. I don't need to upgrade it to different version. If I will purchase a new PC than I will ask the retailer for the latest version of OS. That is different issue. But right now I am not thinking about it. Have a nice day.

I got the idea of your post,,so you mean your using xp and windows 7 at the same time? maybe I understood that you have two computer units becuase your using two Operating system..Actually Im using now a Windows 7 Ultimate version kinda great because it reads fast rather than the Vista because vista has so many animations schemes which affect the speed of the computer but ofcourse it depends also on the RAM of your pc, but its great and better to use rather than vista but sometimes it can't read the CD drive and I need to install the movie maker that was not good..but Windows 7 is great...!

I have tried it in the beta version but had problems in it. I use Vista Ultimate at the moment. I am planning to upgrade to windows 7 in a few days.
I have used it and liked it a lot. It is quite similar to XP in speed and the looks are pretty good. There are a few cool functions as well. Microsoft may not be the best anymore, but still it is doing fine.

Hi yinmm007, from your words I can feel Win 7 is quite a good OS. In my laptop is vista Home Basis original installed by Thinkpad. I also have a Macbook Pro with both Mac and XP OS. I haven't use Win 7 yet, hope I can try one day. I prefer XP verus Vista. Which has fast speed and good complatibilty. Happy Win 7!

Win vista home basic was my computer's preinstall os.In my opinion home basic is slow and have less function. So i changed into ultimate version several days later. And now i love win7.But, to be fair, win xp,win vista and win7 ,all of them have their unique advantages.Different people need various OS.
Thank you for your comment.Happy everyday.

I am using it everyday. Installing a 7 OS on a laptop with vista OS and built in fingerprint reader because some softwares are hard to find. there is a program that can let you bypass the not compatible dialog box of 7 so you can install programs you can't before. Overall i'm satisified with it.
