I don t talk about cyber addiction, i talk how our body respond after 8, maybe 10 hours after we use our computer. Good posture and support in the lower back are also important to avoid muscle strain or pain in the back. Anyone in a sedentary job should stand up, move about, or exercise their arms, legs, back, neck and shoulders frequently. Roughly every 15 minutes, a short break should be taken to look away from the computer screen and around the room . The symptoms consist of fatigue, headache, dry eyes, eye strain, blurred vision, neck pain, backache, altered colour perception, double vision. Surely precautions need to be taken; otherwise computers won't always make our lives any easier! What do you think about all this?

I agree with you a 100%. I've been studying for my exam since last week and I don't have a printer. so i have to read the files through computer. It tired my eyes relly quickly. What I also do is to change the white background of my computer into another color which would be less flashy. I put light purple and it helps when I work with "words". Excel is making me nuts though....

you're absolutely right! but In my case even if I only use it for 2hrs. I feel the strain already at my neck and my eyes...so thanks for reminding that I should have a good posture always and have a break every 15 mins.

My back ache and my eye strain these are just two computer effects that concern me. If i cant take it anymore i take a break. But during taking a break, I cant resist puffing a moke and eat junk foods. This is just so bad. Bad habits like these really happen to me almost everyday. I just dont have a cyber addiction. But Food and smoke addiction too.

Hey icesmile! I don't have a problem anymore sitting at my computer for hours on end because I got myself a great computer desk and chair! I only paid about $30 for the chair and it is so comfortable! It sure beats the stupid chair that I was using! I no longer get backaches! As for my vision, well that's another story! I have problems with that whether I'm reading, watching tv or whatever! But, I can tell you that if you have the right setup it really makes a great difference! Since I got the computer desk and the keyboard is at the perfect level for the chair and the monitor I am able to sit so many more hours without even being the least bit uncomfortable! It was the best investment I made, besides buying the computer, of course! And I bought the desk online for $119!

We all know it is not good to stay long time in front of computer. But sometimes i can not keep the rule. So we can feel tired and comfortable, back. eye, leg etc. You can adjust your time, one time rest after one hour.

My wrist and legs hurt a bit now. I dont know. Maybe it is because my seat is just way too low for the computer table. Good sitting posture helps a lot to prevent those unwanted body pains. I agree with your ideas. I think I shall do it now more often. thanks.
