i need a great business idea...

hi, to be frank, I think it is very meaningless to ask for advice here. I am not saying mylotters are not good at doing business. What I am pointing out is that since you didn't indicate what field you are in, what sort of business you are interested, your business background, your past experience, your available seed money, your location, local economy. so many uncertainties left, how could anyone give your objective and workable advice?

Great business not necesarily comes from fantastic ideas. To me, it comes from understanding the marketplace. Nowadays, when I study about what businesses to go into, I will focus on two principles : First is to find a product or service that is critical. Meaning that the people cannot do without it. Health food is good but it is not critical to all except those who are in need of them. So is many other consumer products. Secondly, does it attract the mass market? If it does, chances is that you will survive better than others. Today, I am doing BLR Management. It is a critical product where there is a mass market. People cannot do without it or they would be paying huge amount of money in servicing bank mortgage interest. Therefore, this is a good business for me. It is so easy to identify potential clients, too. So, my friend, I am sure that if you were to take a little bit of time and relax yourself, you will be able to cook up a decent number of business ideas that would be fantastic and exciting future ventures.

I have a few ideas and will share! First,about me.-- I'm 76, male, married,and live in Canada, where I am actively self employed in the summer. In the winter I journey 3000 km. to my winter home in South Texas USA., where I play for 5 months in the sunshine. I will list Ideas that have worked for me! 1. Find a nitch, and fill it. 2. Start your business small and grow it over time. 3. Get a job, do your best work, be honest, and work hard. 4. Keep an open mind, and don't expect to get rich over night. 5. Make a list of interesting occupations, and try to work within these fields. 6. Never buy lottery tickets, you have a better chance of getting hit by lightening. 7. Look inside and listen to your body. Your body always knows best.
