Commercials: Verizon vs. At&t

Have you seen the Verizon wireless and At&t commercials lately? They are getting pretty vicious; each are using those maps to show where in the US they provide service, and bashing each other over theire features. The Verizon commercials are showing people using phones, with maps that pop up over their heads- everyone is red (Verizon) and when a blue (At&t) map pops up everyone just kind of stops and stares at the person, making him feel bad and stuff. And the At&t commercials feature that actor- the other brother of Owen and Luke Wilson- "clearing up" the "facts." Personally I find the At&t commercials kind of obnoxious. The way the actor talks is just really pompous and overconfident to me. The Verizon commercials are pretty bad, too but they seem more convincing that the At&t ones- Verizon has a bunch of people whereas At&t has just that one guy. w

I think the Verizon commercials are better. They are both less annoying and I think more effective in proving their point. AT&T has a harder time though, seeing as Verizon actually is right. I mean, Verizon does have better service, unquestionably, so it's pretty hard for AT&T to argue otherwise. Cheers!

I know what you mean - I've been noticing the same thing about the commercials. I'm a Verizon user myself and I love the coverage. I used to have Sprint and I was always dropping calls and having trouble getting a signal inside my house and many other places I would go. I don't have any problems with Verizon. I have never used At&t, but I have a few friends who use it, and I've noticed that they often have trouble inside malls and movie theatres. Maybe the trouble is just around here, but it does seem that Verizon's coverage is better.

I used to have Sprint, too, but the service was pretty bad. I'm not big on using my cell phone, so now I just have a pay-as-you-go phone.

I don't care for either commercial. You really can't compare them either b/c Verizon is ONLY talking about their 3G coverage and AT&T is talking about their regular - non-3G coverage. Personally,. I don't like Verizon or AT&T. Unfortunately the area we moved to we had to choose AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. They are all major rip offs and the service isn't that great. Not to mention that Verizon has some of the most poorly constructed phones. We switched over to Verizon in April, I have gone through 3 env2 phones. I have had a cell phone for almost half my life at this point and never had a problem like this - even with the Razr which people said was easily broken! Sorry about the rant, I really miss having T-Mobile. They were super reliable, we never had an issue with our phones breaking and their service was super cheap.

I have seen those as well. I think that At&t are losing their credit ability when it comes to service. I have been a customer of at&t for about 4 years now. In the last couple of years I have notice that I get service in less places. I can't get service where I live but my son can come here and get service. He is with a different company. Beside all of that Verizon has better rates right now. I vote for Verizon...

Hi verizon is really viscious although they have a lot more commercials than AT&T. I don't think it is good that they put AT&T down. It is really wrong.

The way that Verizon and ATT are treating each other is criminal. You would think they were in politics instead of mobile phones. Companies like this should rely on their own merits. What good can come of belittling the competition ?
