Upstairs or downstairs?

That is your decision, if like the view. But for me much better take downstairs, cause more simple and you can go upstairs for enjoying the view.

I guess it depends - I like both for different reasons. Like you said, upstairs definitely has a better view and I also sometimes feel more secure and cozy on an upper level. However, downstairs is very convenient for moving in and out and carrying groceries, etc. Overall, when I've lived in apartments, I have preferred upstairs.

Hi maybe up stairs because I want a balcony if it's summer it's best to sit out ,but where I used to live I never sat outside bad area long story moved. I want a town house with a back yard while a small one. I'm going to have a kid so I need room, town house more sound proof that's my preference if people can afford it. As I said in terms of renting a appt then up stairs safety reasons also for me and it's drafty in basement. I know less stairs that's the only plus sometimes they can be small.
