Here's another one of my crazy thoughts being released into the world! I'm a huge Rocky fan and I know that it's old news now! The Rocky films have been around forever but I think that the music is timeless and I absolutely love it! I've saved a couple on my profile page, there's me going cheesy on you. Anyway, first thing when I wake up in the mornings I get on the computer, do some posting and listen to my favourite Rocky music and then all of a sudden I feel powerful and motivated! Does this happen when you listen to this music? I feel great, I punch the air and say 'oh world! wait till you get a piece of me!' Being a keen cyclist I also love to play my Rocky cd and for some reason I start pushing even harder on the pedals as I cycle to the beat! Well, this really gets me going for the day! What does it do for you? Andrew

I love Rocky PERIOD! The music, the dialogue -- all of it.
The music definitely gets me amped up. And I love Paulie's line in a few of the movies, "I don't sweat you!"
And my all-time favorite line has helped me get back up to my feet when I was too drunk to walk: "Get up, you son of a b1tch! 'Cause Mickey loves ya."
The "Gonna fly nowwwwww" really gets me going, and the ring music, when you hear the "ring... ring..."

Yes, there are some really powerful statements made in the Rocky films and I try to remember them but eventually they fade away and I then have to remind myself and watch a Rocky movie once more. The music really does it for me and I love listening to it whilst out cycling. If I was out there without the Rocky music then I'm thinking that I would find the exercise that much harder to complete and I would not really be motivated! Andrew

I am BIG Rocky fan. I love the first episode where we can see him struggle. My favourite song is 'Eye of the Tiger' in fact it is my mobile ringtone. I love the music. I have the entire DVD collection. But, I did not like the last part which came out recently. I liker the older ones far better.

Yes, I love 'Eye of the Tiger' too and it's a really powerful piece of music. I love that 'gonna fly now' too, really powerful and very inspirational. This kind of music really makes me want to push further and harder in relation to trying to achieve things. I will always have time for this kind of music. Andrew

I'm not a rocky fan but I am of the soundtrack. Eye of the Tiger is like an energy booster for me and it keeps me going. I listen to it everytime I go to the gym or out jogging. It has an aura that lets you go on even when you cant anymore.

Yes, I love Eye of the Tiger too! The music really does something positive for your system. I generally listen to Rocky when I am out cycling and it helps me to push myself that much harder and this can only be a positive thing! I guess that has to be one of Sylvester Stallone's greatest works! Andrew

I like the Rocky music and i agree that it is timeless. I know what you mean by becoming invincible. I am a music lover too and yes there are certain songs that can get us going and makes us feel better than others. I have a lot of music choices and yes, each one gives me a certain mood while i play them. I guess music is a big part of my life. It influences me, like now that Christmas is near, playing Christmas carols lifts up my spirit and yes it makes me happy inside, despite the fact that life here now is so difficult.

Well, it's good that you sound so positive sweetie despite all the difficulties. I think you can buy the Rocky films in a box set now and that would make a wonderful gift I think. I tend to listen to this type of music when I am exercising and it really does do wonders! It's very motivational and it's exactly what I need when I am trying to push myself in order to become that much more healthier! Andrew

That is so funny because when I first saw the name 'Rocky' I thought you were talking about 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' the cartoon characters! LOL! I'm thinking: A cartoon character makes you feel invincible? Especially considerint that Rocky is a squirrel! LOL!
Now that I know which Rocky you're talking about..............
I've never been a Rocky fan, but, I do agree that the music does really make a person feel powerful, like they can accomplish so much.

I'm not familiar with 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'. It sounds pretty interesting all the same! I think that the Rocky music is very powerful and that it can help to push you that much further when you are taking part in exercise. I think that it helps me to have a better outlook on life, a more positive one! I will always have time for those movies whenever they come on the telly! Andrew
