Fetus in a gift box....

United States

I just read this on another site and thought how seriously disturbing people are. What in the heck is wrong with people? This couple is accused of inducing an abortion by taking pills and then after not being able to flush this 7 month old fetus they proceeded to put the fetus in a box, wrapped it and then put it under the tree This is seriously sad and I can only hope that this couple is not only charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence but also of murder, this baby was formed and with in a couple of months would of been born but she took that away by taking pills and to me that is the same as murder... http://www.redlasso.com/player.htm?id=de6b4c13-5e0f-4e84-befd-e9c29c7e80e6

I couldn't believe this until i went searching other news sources for it. Well apparently it is true, just as you reprted it. Unbelieveable....un-fukkin-believabe...pardonmy language, this is disgusting. I just did a little research. In the state of texas, the abuse of a corpse is a class A misdemeanor carries a penalty of: "(1) a fine not to exceed $4,000; (2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed one year; or (3) both such fine and confinement." the evidence tampering is a 3rd degree felony and carries a penalty of 2 to 10 years and a fine of up to $10,000 So they are each looking at a maximum of 11 years apece if the sentences run cocecutively. The irony for them though, and it is only small consolation, is that all they had to do was not try to hide the corpse and they would not have been charged with anything at all.

Eleven years huh? I guess that might be an alright penalty as long as they had to serve the full eleven years and not be able to file an appeal in a few years. Are you serious that they wouldn't of been punish if they would of just taken the pills and just pretended it was an unforced miscarriage...I guess there wouldn't of been a way of really knowing that they forced it because it unfortunately this(miscarriages) happen every day....it is just crazy. Exactly...if there is any good in this story I guess it would be that thank god this child was born only to be murdered later in life when he would of really suffered...thanks for your response dawnald

That's terrible! I am actually horrified by this story. What in the world were they thinking? I can not imagine what people are thinking sometimes. It amazes me what people are capable of.

What in the world!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! That is aweful. Seriously aweful. I am not against abortion but that is beyond... Ugh. If that child had been born any 28 weeks it has a 96% chance of survival. So That child could of survived. And who is to say that the child wasn't trying to breathe when it was born. That is wrong. I have 4 beautiful children. I lost a baby and I was 17 weeks and the pain of cramps was aweful. And it was aweful. These people need some serious menatl help.

Hello AmberRain, I am sorry for your loss, I couldn't imagine what you went through. I agree that this is awful and that these people need some serious help. I am sure they will try to plead some insanity case and try to get off on it like so many seem to do but I am not buying while I admit they need help they also just need to pay for the crime because they were sane enough to realize lets take some pills to cause a miscarriage so they are then sane enough to serve the time...Thanks for your response

Views about abortion aside - that's freakin' gross. Why the hell would you want something like that under your tree? She could have simply called the doctor and had him confiscate it for her. Technically she should have, because after a miscarriage/abortion you need to see a doctor to make sure everything came out. That's just...blah.

In my opinion if she was stupid and sick enough to force herself to cause a miscarriage then she deserves to suffer the medical consequences...i hope she is suffering a bit physically from her actions....Thanks for your response latrivia

Pretty icky stuff. Just varifies how young people think now days. THEY DONT! This is totally apalling. Why didn't she wait and give the baby up for adoption instead of killing it? Young people think of the now, they don't seem to look to the future at all. And that poor fetus! Gastly!!

I wonder what kind of mind set she was in and how much of what you stated she was aware of. I guess we may never really know the entire story and what lead her to do what she did.

I thought the same thing celtic, she only had two more months to go why not just wait? Even if she didn't want to wait and deal with the whole adoption process there are hospital drop off that you can do with no questions asked. It was just selfish in my opinion because they didn't think of this baby at all in my opinion just themselves. Thanks for your response celtic

How do 2 people that are that deranged find each other??? I find this story VERY disturbing!!! With that being said, I think this poor baby was LUCKY it was NOT born to 2 such UNLOVING & UNCARING people. Had they not killed this child now, I feel sure we would be hearing of horrible abuse inflicted on this child!!! Maybe God was protecting the innocent!!!

I had said the same thing in an earlier comment...if there is any good to come from this that would definitely be it. I would much rather have this child lose life before he was abe to experience it than to lose it where he would have to suffer....Thank for you response ladymarissa

i drop my jaws! what the hell is going on in this world?! how can people be so... i don't have any word for them... this is way out of limits, so this is one of the most craziest and most ridiculously disgusting thing people can do that i have come to know about..

Unfortunately things like this seem to be happening more and more...in my opinion I think it is because for people that do this the punishment isn't as harsh and they can just claim insanity and get off with it. This is one of the most disturbing I have heard in awhile as well....Thanks for your response voldrox

These people seriously need to be locked up in a psychiatric facility. First off, I can't in my right mind say that they took the pills to induce an abortion. A seven month fetus is a very viable human being. They took the pills as an effort to commit murder. Then after the murder was committed they defiled the baby to such a point as to wrap it up and put it under a tree like a gift. This is sick, twisted, and without a doubt uncalled for.

Hello dorannmwin, yeah I can't say if these pills killed the fetus because I don't know of any that could do that but then again I have never thought of something like that so there maybe just be something out there that can cause that but the intent was there and in my mind that is murder especially after she not only tried to flush it with no success she then wrapped it and put it under her tree...serious mental sickos. Thanks for your response =)

Let me ask one question to those who dare to do so. Who gave them the power to execute such a heartbreaking thing. To be blessed with a child is a precious gift from God. If they think they can do anything with their kid then they are absolutely wrong. This can never be accepted as right under any circumstances.

Wow...I don't really know what to say about something so awful. Its things like this that make me lose hope in humanity. There are babies born even earlier that survive, so i consider this murder and child abuse. The worst part for me is that they tried to flush the baby down the toilet, I feel sick just thinking about it. Who does something like that??

I have no idea how any parent can do this to a child well actually i don't know how anyone can do this to a child....This child was old enough to be born and make it through to live a productive life like you said you and I both know that that can be possible. I agree with what others have said that this couple has to have something wrong with them but in the same I am so tired of these people being able to get away with the crimes they commit because they claim the insanity plea and in my opinion if this lady thought clearly enough to think "if I take these pills it will cause a miscarriage" then she is sane enough to serve time in jail. Thanks for your response jk

Hi, froggieslover. That is just so sick! This is considered murder. Abortion of any kind should be opposed by the law!! No killing of an unborn fetus at all! Why did they wrap the baby in a gift box???? This is so strange and cruel. This poor baby did not even get a chance to live! Shame on this couple. They should burn her Fallopian Tubes so that she will never have another child again!

this doesn't make any sense, why would they put it in a box and then put it under their tree? Unless they put it under someone else's tree.

Who knows what they were thinking...this is the same people that took pills to force an abortion, I would never think of doing something like that. I think I have seen since that they were wanting to bury it under their trailer, maybe they were just putting it their until they found time to try and bury it. Either way it is gross...thanks for your response callie

I have a grandson that was born at 6 mos. gestation and weighed a mere 2 lbs. He is now a delightful, intelligent, healthy little boy about to enter kindergarten this coming year. What that couple did is indeed murder!! And I hope they are punished accordingly. God only knows what makes some people do such atrocious things, Froggie. Karen

I fully agree peaceful...I have known of a few different cases where children have been born before the 7 month mark and like your grandson have lived full and happy lives. This child could of been born at that point and lived a full life so therefore they should be punished for murder...Thanks for your response peaceful

oh my goodness. I have never heard of such a thing. I understand that having a baby can be hard and definitely costly but there are places where you can give up your baby at hospitals without anyone knowing or any convictions or anything. How can you kill an innocent baby and sit there and look at the body? Not only that, but try to flush it down the toilet! That is sick. I hope they get counseling for it!

Exactly, I realize that unplanned pregnancies can happen but like you stated there are places that will help you out..killing your baby and stuffing it in a box it NOT one of those choices...Thanks for your response giftofgodphotography

Yes, you're right. This is nothing but a mess. I guess that couple needs to be imprisoned for what they have done. That was an exact example of violation of the human rights. Yes, it was. Fetus is also considered as human being and that it deserves to be given the right to live and see the beauty of this world. It was not actually my first time to hear about this kind of news but I just couldn't understand why people tend to do something like this. What I can do for now is to just hope that they will be given some punishment for what they did so that they will be able to realize the crime of killing their own child.

Oh yes this fetus is still a human especially at seven months pregnant...so yes there are "rights" for this poor baby. I have heard of stories like this as well but I think that this is one is one of the most shocking and disturbing. Thanks for your response pentagan
